I just got signed up with a vendor selling their products and get a landing page from their domain but the catch is they only have a 7-day cookie.

I don't want to lose sales due to the 7-day cookie so I want to build a list.

Would you
1.) make an email pop-up form so the customer gets the 50% off discount the first month?
Or
2.) make a separate landing page on your own site, which once they input their email and name , they are redirected to the vendor's landing page (which is my affiliate page)

I do not control or can edit their affiliate landing page

is the 1st landing page redirect or pop-up email form against Facebook TOS or Adwords?

Thanks

I would make my own landing page and promote this product or any other product anytime I want without the fear of losing sales because of the 7 day cookies.

I would offer somethin for Free towards your traffic that will help them. Like a lead magnet. This can be a newsletter , bootcamp video series, tutorial vids, updates or newsletter that they qre salivating to get their hands on in exchange for giving you the privilege of having their email. Yes the second options sounds great!

yea, make your own landing page, and send them to the vendor page after they optin, (the key is to make your landing page very relevant to whatever the vendor is offering. they will be more likely to take action) and then if they don't purchase (or whatever the desired action is) then you can still follow up in your email sequence, and you can even send them to other offers also...

    Hi,

Use your own, more control that way.

Plus, their landing page may have been over used and doesn't attract
enough targeted visitors that turns them into prospects.

Very true. I'll make my own landing page and then redirect after email to the aff page.

Is there a php script or code that works best?

Make you own squeeze page mate that's for sure. When you built your own list you can brand yourself and built a relationship with your list! You won't bother anymore with 7 day cookies because even a small list can be worth a lot!

Lukas, any autoresponder can redirect after opt-in to your affiliate offer. I have found it more effective to send them to another landing page that says...

"Your free report is being delivered to your email inbox."

"For something really special, click the bonus like below"

Then send to the affiliate offer. The new subscriber won't wonder what happened if you go from email opt-in to affiliate offer and your conversions on the affiliate offer will be higher.

If you are worried about the 7 day cookie, either find a different offer or add the offer to your AR and mail it again.

      Hope that helps some!

      Thanks, Shane
