One sale from 90 subscribers ...

Hi Warrior,

Recently, i just got one sale ($31.42) from 90 subscribers which is not good. What should i do to increase sales? should i make a new whole series of emails? delete all these subscribers? Give up? steal people in my country? LOL? ... no really, what should i do to increase the number of sales?

Waiting your opinions.

Thanks.

Don't give up. 1 in 90 i snot bad if you just made one mailing. You might want to create sub-lists to filter that list even more. Remember, you have their permission to talk to them. Use this to your maximum advantage.

Where did the leads come from? Was it paid traffic? Ad swap? Solo ad? The type of traffic and the quality of the leads plays a big part in how many sales you get. I've purchased 1000 click solo ads in the past and gotten 150-200 subs and made only 1 or 2 sales. On the flip side I've purchased 200 clicks and got 75 subs and made 5 sales. It all depends on the quality of the traffic that you are sending to your offer/squeeze page and of course the quality of the offer itself.

How many of your 90 subscribers actually opened the email? 10%? 20%?

Whatever the figure, it's far too small a sample from which to draw any meaningful results.

I've seen marketers only get like 1- 5 sales from 1000 subs, and this was with a few emails preselling the product.

Your single sale from 90 subs is pretty good to be honest. The only way to go is up from this point. Try to keep or increase your conversion rate as you increase your sub count.

Wouldn't it be amazing if you could get 11 sales or more from 1000 subs? Why not 20 or 30+ sales? It's doable, so just keep it in your mindset to do it.

You have a ton of room for improvement here as you build your list and refine your presell strategy to yield higher conversions.

Your numbers are pretty good, you can increase your profits checking your open rates and your CTR from your links, also split test your offer, plus get more subscribers.

One sale from 90 subscribers not mean 10 sales from 900 subscribers.

  • If I was one of the 90 subscribers on your list, and you were selling let's say....
a hot looking female Android Robot Sex slave for $10,000,
then in that case I would have bought it,
and that one sale from 90 subscribers would not have been bad right?

But you're not selling female Android Robot Sex slaves for $10,000,
plus I'm not on your list.

And that's why you only earned $31.42 from 90 subscribers.

Interesting you posted this because I also just made a $35.11 sale from click bank from a list of 95 subscribers and I was actually pretty happy with that...I made this sale from a one-time offer on my "Thank You Page" after they sign up to my list and not even a part of my follow-up emails...I guess we just have to improve, test, tweak and scale up...

1 and 90 isn't bad if they're paid subs (like from solo ads), but organic subs is another story. Remember that when you purchase solo ads, you're essentially getting people who have been sent to 20 other people. Not exactly the best traffic.

    Hi,
For me 1 sale from 90 subscribers is not bad you just sent an email and get one sales.Don't Give up and try to make relation with your list and also do swaps with other it helps to make our list huge .

You know 1 in 90 is not bad for that price. Takes about a 100 clicks to get a sale depending on price and product. Now if that 1 sale was a five thousand dollar hot tub that would of been nicer.

Yes it is a numbers game though and not all rules work for all people. I have products that sell on an average of 30 clicks and products that sold with 500 clicks, too many variables to be consistent.

Good luck and build your subscribers.

don't delete your list - keep on building your list, keep on building a relationship with your list - don't just sell to them - give those subscribers a reason to open your emails.
Once they know that you aren't going to just spam them offers all the time, they will start to trust you and start buying more when you do promote to them.

I wish you much good fortune

It's also important for you to know that your sample size is statistically insignificant -- you only have 90 people you tested your email sales copy on. You need at least a few hundred more, if not into the thousands, in order to draw statistically valid conclusions.

Keep growing your list, give massive value to that list, and occasionally offer for something to sale. Just keep on keeping on.
Just under? Do you mean just over?

You have proved that your system works - you just need to refine it.
1 sell out of 90 subscribers is not enough data for you to come to a realistic conclusion.

The other comment about open rates and click through rates is important.

If only 30 people opened your email then only 30 people even saw your call to action to click! Already your conversion rate looks better! (1 out of 30)

If only 10 of those who opened your email clicked on the link and went to the sales page then your sales page conversion rate is actually 1 out of 10 which is 10% (rather than 0.9%).

You need to look at the bigger picture. Every step in the process affects your conversion rate.

Split test your email heading and call to action wordings - you might be able to increase your sales by just doing that.

Obviously the biggest impact is whether you offered something that your subscribers needed and wanted at that moment in time.

Don't give up though - I would be positive about your result!

    That's great!

There are a couple things to work on if you want to increase sales. First, improve your relationship with your list. Second, work on expanding the list.

Don't worry about it, 1 sell for 90 subs is decent. Don't forget to add that 1 buyer to a "buyer" list.

NEVER Delete leads! Those are you bread and butter. They may not buy now but at that particular day they subscribed they were about to. Life gets in the way from customers sometimes . To all of us.

Instead try to double the quality of your leads and where the traffic is coming from. If its organic or paid etc.

You can also do more promotions like free bonuses to entice them. Send them inspiring quotes or your stories. Freebie seekers are still good source of free advertisements if you can inspire and motivate in some shape or form.

Plus it looks good to have lots of subscribers than none.

If you can build their confidence and offer them a funded proposal that helps them solve their needs they may still buy.

You are currently promoting low ticket items which is good but that wont get you quitting your full time job anytime soon.

A lot of networkers have a misconception of selling only low tickets because its easier. Yes you can sell 1000 x $10 product.

You need to diversify your product with mid and high ticket offers as well.

Its like buying a shirt from walmart and buying one at michael kors.

If you sold one michael kors, you would need to sell 1000 walmart shirts to make same amount.

With your 90 subscribers lets say that one you sold was high ticket, the 89 will still have a chance to purchase the high ticket if you dont delete them. And for the mean time you can keep planting seed in them of confidence.

By the end of the day it will separate the tire kickers from the committed buyers which is what you want.

      Hope this helps

    1:90 is not that bad.

Many people convert 1:150 or even higher.

If you can get 1:50, that is a good number and what most people who are very successful get.

Just make sure that you are consistent in your follow up with everyone on your list.

Some people, they can buy after a few months.

  • lol It is a hit a miss sometimes when you purchase leads.
Just recently though I hate to admit it I purchased 25,000 clicks
+ the seller gave me an extra 100 clicks for $30.50 and as of yet I have not had
1 new subscriber Then I have purchased 100 clicks for $40.00 and got as many
as 59 subscribers in 6 hours and I am now running those thru my sales funnel.
I am purchasing clicks with my own money and having them sent to the same squeeze
page and will be reporting the results at the end of march. If anyone knows of any good
Solo ad providers PM me so I can get them in the test. Thank You

One sale from 90 subs is pretty good, there are people who get only couple sales from 1000 subscribers. There are two many variables, offer you are promoting, which country the subscribers are from, buying power etc.. keep it up man..

Where did you get your list from?

Did you build it from selling/giving away an eBook or a report?
What niche was it? Was the product that you emailed your list similar?

Way to many variables to give a straight up answer - can you give us a bit more info?

This is really not bad to begin with, now all you have to do is develop a personal intrest with your subscribers to know exactly what they are seeking in order to filter your mail list.
    Then, you'll see the results.

lot of people are mentioning getting more subscribers and increasing your conversion rate, but there is the third factor, which is segmenting. If you are able to segment your list based on their interests, you'll be able to get more with less. segmenting is as simple as sending them to another opt in page for a specific product, which then sends them through a new opt in sequence

Your list is probably not segmented, if you have a general IM list and send an them a facebook app to get viral traffic, the offer is pretty targeted but not everyone will want it..

So you could have a list of facebook marketers, another for seo marketers etc.

not to being discouraging but dont put a lot of stock in those numbers right now. I sold a clickbank product via banners and got a couple sales my first day...thought it was going to do awesome....kept the banners up for 2 months....took them down when I never got any more than those first few sales. Your numbers really wont tell the success or failure of the offer until you've generated a few thousand clicks to it and can really dissect the CTR and sales numbers.
