Request for Honest Site Review

Hello,

So I got this new affiliate site rolling, been up for about 2 weeks or so and have seen 2 sales within the first couple of days. Albeit, 1 of them got refunded . . .

Anyways if anyone would mind giving this site an honest review that would be very helpful: www(dot)360profix(dot)com

The longer this site has been going the more concern I've been having over whether I did something wrong. . .

What I mean is, I'm using stat counter to track real time visitors and their activity. I'm noticing that for some very specific and targeted keyword, a product review keyword for example, a few people go to it but then Immediately bounce out of it.

Now I'm not getting heaps of traffic, maybe about 30 a day at this point, but the fact that people are typing in a product review keyword, get to the page on my site that offers that review, and then immediately bounces out says to me it's not relevant somehow - yet...it is because it's an in-depth and quality review...

I also haven't seen a single sale since those first two sales were made a few days after launching the site. Doesn't make any sense to me

Any help or advice would be great

thanks

Honestly, I don't know much about the topic of your website...

However, it seems like you are tip-toeing around the subject in your introduction. To be more effective, you should be more aggressive. Show that you really believe in your product.

"Hi everybody" is too generic - make your introduction very specific to address your target market. something like "hello xBox enthusiast"

Instead of telling vague stories about experiences of others... use those general experiences as questions to get your reader involved. for example:
"have you tried microsoft's customer support only to get disappointed by the lack thereof?"

these are a couple suggestions... good luck!

I think the site looks good, I'm not familiar with the subject either, but I'd change the background colour to a lighter one.

Content is king remember, so that's something else you might want to ramp up. Good site though, no complaints here.

    • Your site looks nice to me. Cannot comment on the content as I am unfamilar with the niche (never used Xboxes in life, lol ). One change I would make is cloak the affiliate links. You can use a meta refresh or a much better solution like PHP redirect for that. I guess you might be losing some of your rightful commissions to "affiliate link hijackers" and cloaking your links might minimize that

I have a free tool for creating PHP redirects. If you are interested, PM me

I would also suggest you install the free Google analytics code on your site (besides the statcounter code). In fact I use both, and you would gain a lot of information if you use two different tracking tools instead of relying on just one

        Hey,

I honestly don't know anything about re-directs, or link cloaking or how to go about any of that. . .whats the PHP redirect that your using? is that a link cloaker?

You need to get to the point more quickly and grab attention with a big headline like:

"X Box Crashed With Red Ring of Death?"

That is just an example - it could be improved upon.

People love stories, so you can launch in to a story about how your X Box crashed, and then when you tried to get it fixed you realised that no one new how to fix it. So after plucking up the courage to dig deeper you unearthed the secrets of how to fix it.

    That sort of thing.

Your site is alright, but it looks like a sort of informational site not a solution site.

Stats show that the average user will spend 7 seconds when they arrive at a site to decide whether to stay or surf on, so you need to get their attention.

t! would you mind elaborating a little bit?

Why leave feedback if you won't explain your insights?

Because sometimes it is easier being a prick than trying to help for some people .

We may now know where your one refund came from :-)

Not a bad site at all. Keep pressing forward

You have done a great job with this website! This criticism above had nothing to back it up at all! Keep on moving forward and tremendous work on taking action! That is huge to your success online. Ignore people like this who are just trying to drag you down. The affiliate model still works great and if you already made a couple of sales in the first few days of going live than people still want to buy that information still, so just ignore this guy and keep pressing forward!

Ask a question at the beginning...Red Ring Of Death Killing your Xbox? (BOLD)

The stuff on the left side bar is confusing. You need to make it simple. They aren't links for the same thing are they? It's hard to tell. Use the simple basic words to describe what the links are...X-Clamp fix, Repair Guides, Tools and Supplies.

Here's my suggestion...name your articles by subject, put links for them on the side bar. Be sure you are using your keywords in your articles. That will give you content that the SE will love.

Make your main page a review of the Guide you're promoting. Be sure to use bullet points, telling your customers how this guide will make their lives easier.

Hopefully, you have used this Guide and can give a detailed review that shows how it made your life better. What you have now is too generic. It's kind of boring and people won't care about it.

What are you doing for traffic?

    Hope this helps you.

This has been really helpful. Thank you for your feedback.

As for the content itself, since the Niche is pretty much a problem - solution type niche, the content is limited and similar in some respects. I've made sure that all the unique, different, and relevant content that addresses different issues, and would be helpful for visitors lies within the side bar.

Everything else that is more generic and general is in the site map.

I believe I understand what your saying here, and I think I have done that to the best that this niche allows me to do. But I might be mistaken.

All of my keywords within my articles are properly optimized and taken care of. I have a program that runs an SEO check on each individual page and gives me a grade on how well it's done. All pages, maybe save for 1, are at A rankings.

This is a good idea and I will keep this in mind as a potential action to take if no results are being seen. Thank you for this.

I have not used this guide, as I have not had this particular issue, which is why you won't find stories about how it worked for me on my site. But I do have it in my possession so the content that I write about it is accurate and factual, as well as the other products that are being promoted.

For my content I tried to remain as honest and informative as possible within the content on my main page. Perhaps this is why it is too generic? There are however pages in my site-map, which were some of the first articles to be put on the site, that do go into stories about how it worked for me and such - even though it didn't. These are simply articles that were supplied to me by the affiliate and they are just re-written.

These articles aren't hidden from my traffic as I have been steadily building back links to those pages, as well as the ones on my home page and get visitors to them frequently. However I'm not sure whether these articles are helping, or hindering my site

I'm basing all of my traffic on SEO optimization at the moment. I'm submitting articles to the top 6 or 7 article directories. I'm creating squidoo lenses, hubpages, social bookmarking, and I'm also using a service called AMautomation. And that service essentially allows me to use a built in article spinner that creates unique articles which are then submitted to blogs that are related to my topic.

I'm currently just trying to build back links that are targeting my keyword phrases. But I'm finding that I'm also getting traffic for a lot of non-targeted keywords and I'm not sure whether this is good or bad?

I apologize for the lengthy explanation.
