  • I would offer people who sign up to your list something free and valuable. People will be more likely to signup without a website if you offer them a bonus or some type of content.

You can post about your free ebook on forums and other websites and include a signup form or info to signup to your list with your post. It is always best to have a website but there are a few options out there you can still use.

    • You could use the power of web 2.0 free authority sites. Example: video on youtube about your free ebook in exchange for their
Subscriptions, facebook page you can create, forum submissions, blogger from google.

If budget is lacking then using these free platforms and getting your hands dirty and promoting your offer then soon enough people will take notice.

Consistency is the key with free traffic

You don't have to have a website to build a list. You can do article marketing, you can do you tube videos you can do free blog pages.
    You can advertise in forums.

Here is the thing though you will have to have an autoresponder and they will host your optin form, it is not going to be a good converting form because you can not get the type of optin page you need for good conversions.

You still don't need a website but I would have one just to host the optin forms on.

You don't have to spend alot. google .50 cent domain names .com and either network or register will have a sale. Also you can get hosting for a buck some places and better than nothing, You can also get free domains and hosting if you just have to have it.

Your going to pay for the AR anyways so why not pay for the other stuff.

    I see it this way.....

If you are going to be serious about making money online, there are some tools that you will need to build your business. This is a business and there is nothing wrong with paying for the necessary tools.

The problem with hosting your list on other people's website/blog is that they control how you do things.

Any kind of scraping, extracting, buying or selling bulk mail lists is not the way to go and not allowed in forum discussions here.

To build a list of prospects you need those prospects to give your their email through and opt-in form or buying a product. You can incentivize the opt-in with a free gift.

Is there some new course out about scraping emails and spamming?

Every other thread these days seems to be people who want to scrape emails wholesale and then bulk mail them offers.

Paul's ban hammer is going to run out of charges...

Second one today, and it's barely noon.

Gotta be some sort of game being played here. We haven't had this many people asking for help spamming since 1999 or so.

Oh is that what you mean. Well I will tell you what. if you want one put blackhat email extractor in google and you will find them.

Now I have did them in the past, Im not just saying stuff to be saying t and they have never brought me much of an income at all. I mean maybe 1 sale out of all the millions I extracted.

I would think twice before investing in one.

You will have to register for an email marketing service. Aweber is a very good one. You will pay 1$ for start then they will bill you 19$ per month. There you can design your emails and everything you need to do. You can publish your opt in form on aweber self hosted publish option. You won't need a website or blog. Copy this link and send the visitors there. The other option would be to find a free email service which wouldn't be that professional. Then promote this link to the places where you would like that are related to your subject. You can use forums, blog commenting or posts, article submission, social media etc.. to market your link.

Actually I for one welcome these questons. We need to teach and to be able to do so we need to communicate what shouldn't be done.

Only way to do this is through questions and answers. Yes I would say when someone starts promoting extractors get them off here but when someone asks questions about it, let them know your opinions.

It doesn't matter anyways, I was told a thousand times email extraction wasn't worth it but I still spent a 100 bucks in software and learned the hard way.

Oh, I agree to an extent, I have learned things from these threads.

But the forum itself is pretty strict and people lose their accounts (for a time) for talking too explicitly about it. Especially his other thread.

So I'm just warning and pointing out the better (more ethical?) option.

There are many better places to learn about this stuff.

Regardless you will need some sort of investment. You will need an auto responder regarless. Mailchimp gives you a free autoresponder for your first 500 subscribers. Aweber gives you an opportunity to make your own autoresponder and put a some sort of text to offer your free eBook.

    Something like this.

And it gives you a unique URL for you to send your potential subscribers to. I am not sure if MailChimp offers that. You can always check.

My question is, how are you going to get traffic to it with only $40?

As this thread has been continued I can add that the OP has caught wind of a new tool that I imagine will be in all savvy IM'ers toolkit within the next couple of years (or sooner if they can get their hands on it!)

Of course, anything that is not fully understood may seem 'unethical' or 'black-hat' but this thread (or ones like it) will be appearing regularly here, I have no doubt. Surely this thread and forum are here to provide an opportunity to learn, share and help each other. However, I don't wish to be banned so will add nothing more until there are mod responses/feedback.

I am trying also to build my list without blog or website. But it needs autoresponder. And with my autoresponder now, it has all in one.

Not if that means teaching people how to scrape email addresses and send them spam. That has been a bannable offense here for, oh, the past 14 years or so.

Thanks Paul - I agree entirely. However, I dont believe anyone is promoting here the 'bannable' activities you refer to.

See post 11, where he explicitly states he's looking for an email extractor. (Post 8 expands on his intent, pre-revelation...)

Thanks Paul. You're right, the OP was asking perhaps with misguided intent, but my point was that no-one is actually promoting bad IM practice (e.g. spamming).

And it remains true that there are tools that the OP appears to have heard about, that makes it possible to target in a highly effective way, and promote products and services or blogs/information etc directly to those who are publicly known to be interested in a particular niche e.g. by searching on Twitter. The software simply automates the process and collates the data to save heaps of time. Again, I do not consider this to be spamming or scraping. What is your view of this?

              Cliff,

The OP was talking about ways to gather email addresses to send unsolicited bulk messages. I don't give a bloody good Dog-damn how "targeted" that stuff is. It's spam, and I will nuke accounts that endorse it or teach it in this forum until I drop dead or get booted as a moderator.

If you would like me to explain why the math of UBE/UBM is destructive, I'll be happy to dredge the response from the Ancient Archives and regurgitate it for you.

Something else you mentioned that you wish to offer a free report to your subscribers well Aweber can also host this for you and send it straight away to those that sign up with you. That is very useful. Possibly great when you're just starting out and to see how you get on.

So you have a choice go the website free route or build yourself some sort of basic sales funnel to provide extra value to your new list of subscribers; up to you what kind of business you wish to build.

I don't advocate the scrapping route sounds far too much like hard work for little gain believe me the other is better and stress free no- one will be chasing after you.

As for your $40 why not invest it in say youtube marketing or facebook something that will give you a skill and develop your free traffic. What I mean is buy a wso with the money that teaches you video marketing (making the videos), and the setting up your Youtube channel then the marketing. Same for a Facebook wso. These are just 2 of many different ways to drive traffic. It's a start.

PS. You don't have to spend all of it there are many excellent wso's much cheaper that can help you get started.

Easy. Start your own LinkedIn group. You can email your group members 1X per week directly through LinkedIn. And, you can setup a "welcome" autoresponder message.

    Good luck growing your group!
