What to offer on a landing page?

Hi Guys,

Almost everyday day products are launched in the IM scene.
I get a few e-mails in my inbox everyday with promotions.
The content most time suck and is just a nice story about
someone who saw the light and make truck loads of cash these days.

Since I'm always very curious to see what they have to offer I most time end on the landing page to find out that they are offering a
free report or a long boring video about their product.

Am I the only one who doesn't have the time to read those PDF reports,
and boring video's?

I understand that their main goal is to get your e-mail address to get you even more bored with "stuff" before launch but most content is just "hype" or presell material.

Now I know a lot of you guys are going to reply with: "Then don't read those reports" , or "you are reading the wrong material from the wrong guys".

When I first started out I was really falling for all those reports and free material. Every time I was reading such a report I thought "YES, I need that product, it's just great and it will make me rich!

Now, I'm not complaining about my income.
But most times those pdf's/video's are (in my opinion) preselling crap!

And then the bonusses that "guru's" are giving away.
Most time they offer SO MUCH bonuses that I don't have time to even read or use the product I bought.... Maybe they do this to keep you busy in the refund period?

I really would like to know what you guys think of all this.
And the main purpose of this thread:

When will YOU give out your e-mail address?.... For what material?
