Powerful Keyword with no place to go.

Hello WF,

I have found a really powerful keyword in an interesting niche.

730 searches per day
OCI of 98%
Only 8 competing seo pages.
CPC 0

The issue is that I can't find an affiliate program to offer the products surrounding this keyword. I've searched (affilate + keyword) and can't find any.

Any ideas on how I could monetize this anyway? Or maybe there is another way to find an affiliate program for this keyword?

Thanks for the help.

Stiz

Not sure where you have looked but Amazon and Ebay tend to cover most things.

The only thing I can think of is research the niche and create a product about it sell it. That's one way you could do it depending on the niche.

I agree...If you can't find something on Amazon or Ebay to promote, than consider creating your own product in this niche.

Ask yourself what do the people who are searching for this keyword need? Then find a way to deliver to them what they need.

Looks like you've got a very good keyword...good luck!

        Hey Guys/Gals

Thanks for the advice. I really would like to figure out how to monetize this niche. I've just been doing more digging and I found some words that are even crazier.

        1. has 2975 searches a day
        OCI 88%
521 competing pages (only 2 have backlinks at all)

        2. has 1989 searches a day
        OCI 98%
556 competing pages (more links, but who cares. )

I wish I knew what the heck I was doing because these folks are hungry for this stuff. I found some of the products they are looking for and 1 strange looking affiliate program.

I'm pretty sure that these keywords/niche + some marketing brains = serious cashola.

At this point I have 1/2 of the forumla.

What about an ebook or special report? If you can't find any ads worth anything for this niche or affiliate programs, then the best thing to do is to try to find another keyword. There is no use working with a keyword that you cant sell or doesn't have any products for. Hope something works for you.

could you market a cpa offer to these people or use it to build a list and offer them another related product. You could create a list and survey them as to what they want or need.

Just because you have found a keyword with decent searches and no competition, it doesn't mean you should go after it. If there is no commercial intent with a keyword, then trying to create a market from thin air will be a waste of your time.

Do not create a product in a niche unless there is an existing demand for it.

OK, I found where I can get people what they are looking for. (for the most part)

Now I'm wondering what the best way to do that will be.

Should I create a squidoo page for each keyword and drive traffic from there, or should I create a site that has each page optimized for a different keyword and drive traffic that way? Niche site with related keywords. I have found 6 so far and all are related and strong as I've shown.

I'm just now sure which way to go at this point.

I have xsitepro 2 and can make a decent looking site. I can put lenses together as well.

Any pointers would really be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Stiz

      Hey Troy,

The stuff these folks are looking for I can't create, but I can guide them to where they can get it. If I created a product, it would have to be something related to it and I'm not sure they would want it. I don't think these are ebook people. If you know what I mean. I don't have a good enough grasp of the IM world yet to know what kind of product I could create that they would want. ( ideas....?) I DO KNOW they want what they are searching for though. Thanks Troy.

You could write SEO'd 300-500 word articles and point them to wherever you want them to go. Articles submitted to major article directories (not sure if it would work for small ones) would easily rank on the front page of Google without any further SEO for low competition keywords.

      Thanks Curtis,

Yeah, I've written some articles in the past and gotten top google rankings for a few key words. Lasted for several months.

This niche seems a bit different. I think these folks also might be visual folks, and so that's why I was thinking squidoo. I've just not yet been able to get top rankings for a lense. I do have one on page 2 for a decent keyword, but I'm not looking for page 2 here. The money here is going to be on page 1 for sure.

      Thanks for the advice.

I'm 99% sure if done right, could make a killing in the niche providing a good help and value.

Try searching for an information product for the niche. Contact the owner, and ask if they would like to make more sales on their product. Tell them how you will sell, and strike a deal. I think 50% commission is about right.

    MNicholes mentioned CPA,

How would that work in this particular case. I thought CPA was for publishers who have large lists or for advertisers who have their own products?

    Do I have this wrong?

Is this a niche that will go for an info product or do you need actual physical goods for them? It can be pretty easy to start a distributorship. No affiliate products doesn't mean no products - just means that the mfrs don't do online affiliations.

Market Samurai daily search numbers pull from the Google KW tool, which overestimates search numbers by a pretty wide margin, in my experience!

        Hey Mel,

That's interesting. I've actually heard some other very advanced marketers say the the google keyword tool and many instances (under estimates) searches. I hope they are right and you are wrong. But whatever, keywords still solid either way.

      Hey Sal,

I don't really think there is an info product that would be right for this niche. I could be wrong, but that is my gut feeling.

I actually did find a place to get this crowd to go and pretty much find everything that they are looking for. So now I just need to know the very best method of getting in between this group and what they are looking for.

I'm going with Squidoo for now. That's really the only way that I know to do this.

If anyone has any other suggestions that would be great.

Most people have mentioned to create your own product which is a good idea! If it is an info product you could supply a written transcript to go along with it....

In most cases to promote creditability and trust, you could offer the product for free to at least 10 people in exchange of a testimonial.

This will create a know, like and trust of your visitors! Video testimonials are a big plus!
