Hi warriors, what is the minimum % affiliate commission you would promote a quality product for? What is the boundary that would disqualify the product from your affiliate portflio?

Also, what other factors contribute to your decision on whether to promote the product or not?

Thanks!

  • 50%.......
  • Yup. As a safe bet, no matter what price range I do think 50% is the minimum range. Anything above 50% works for me.

The higher the better of course!

    • 45 to 60 % nothing less than it works for me

  • 50% and above for affiliate commission is my take.
  • 50% and if you got any Upsells another 50% would be nice
  • I wouldn't do ANY clickbank products for less than 50%.
  • Low ticket one time pay items are not really on my priority lists, unless it's 100% Instant Payout.

Otherwise, personally I don't see the point working hard promoting an offer just to make $15 one month later.
  • For me it usually takes as much work to make a $500 commission that it takes to make a $15 commission... guess which one I'm going to go for and work to promote?

Don't get me wrong, if there is a solid sales funnel where the entry point is low and there are other back end products to promote then I can see value in promoting such an offer...

Or if it's a product that I know for sure that my list will absolutely love, but those products are rare.
  • Yes 50% and up for sure, and for a product priced that low, there better be upsells, especially if you don't have a list yet, and you are paying for the traffic.
  • 100%. Let them have it all. Get the customer and make 10x more than that initial sale.
  • 70%. There are plenty of other quality products out there. If one vendor can offer high commissions why can't they all?
  • Yeah I look for min of half and I like 75 percent better, I feel that email I give them is worth more than that on the life of the email. It's a buyer and those are the most expensive emails to obtain.
  • For me it is 50% Commission and above.
  • 100% commission is ideal for affiliates.

Now you won't make any money from it but what you're going to have after is the biggie. Anyone will pay a higher price for a buyer's list which you now have. And they are worth 10 to 15 times more than a regular subscriber.

Plus you now have authority in the eyes of your subscribers (something that can't be bought). And it's much easier selling stuff to your list now that they know you.
  • On cb 75 is the best thing to do. Make more sales.
  • it isn't so much what % of commission I would settle for as for how much it would make me.
For instance a 10% commission on a product that sells of $3,000 and has a high conversion
rate is just as good as a product that sells of $600 pays 50% and converts at the same rate.
It doesn't cost me any thing for the affiliate programs I sign up for
So I would present the offer to my list and if it converts well and makes me money I continue to use it for my list. If it converts really well I start driving traffic to an opt in page then to the affiliate program.
    hope this helps
Bottom line As long as I make a profit I am happy.

    • Another thing to consider is the referral rate. If it is low, it means that the vendor is making most of the sales and not the affiliates. I would pay close attention to this percentage. I would think you want a above 90 %. It shows that there is active affiliate sales. CBEngine is a good place to get this type of data.

  • Yep,

    More then 50. 75 & I'm all yours

Not many people do 75 although it's the max they allow. I reckon you'd get a good amount of affiliates if you allow a top end commission value. (60-75)
  • 75%. Anyway the product is only $39.95.
  • 75% is quite the standard on CB. Remember, front end products should be about generating optins (: So giving away 75% for high quality traffic that will pay you for years, isn't that bad if you think about it now.
