Business Name and domain ideas

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi everyone,

I am starting a software distribution company selling a variety of different software and operating systems.

I have already proved that it can be successful with ebay and I am looking to branch out to a website too.

I have been looking for domain names and everything that I have looked at so far has already been taken and I would have to get a variation of that name or something with hyphens which could mean people visit my competitors by forgetting to put the hyphens in and going to the wrong website.

Does anyone have any ideas? Preferably with "Software" in the name somewhere.

Doesn't need to be a .com, it's how you market it.

  Just enter the keyword that you like your domain to include and this handy tool will suggest to you a bunch of domain names that are available.
  
  I would also suggest www.domize.com which allows for domain search in real time.

You should find a domain name without hyphens. There are many tools online to help you find a great domain name. Look at these:

software4ushop.com is available, and you could call the business Software 4 U.
That took me about 3 minutes of searching, so I'm sure that there are still loads available with 'software' in them.

Actually it depends on your will. You must choose the domain name by yourself. It you wants to do business, the extension may be .com, or, you can use .net, .org & so on.

If it's for a business I would always recommend a brandable name and always have the .com for it. If things turn out well, you'll wish you had it later. Never use hypens in the name and if possible use 2 words, 3 at most.

So again, brandable, .com, and 2-3 words (no hypens).

Numbers in the domain are not ideal. It's a problem for mobile type-in traffic and just word-of-mouth. Numbers also look spammy which is a loss of perceived credibility. It doesn't matter if you never have any offline component. If it looks like a real business that's going to lend you credibility and better clients, etc...

There's an almost infinite number of catchy brand names you can come up with in the form [coolname]software.com

Next time use variations of your niche. Shouldn't really take more then 15 mins to come up with a good domain!
