KickButt Offer - High Price VS Low Price -What would You Do?

Hey Warriors,

I am in a pickle..

I have been working on a project for the last month and it was going to be an out of this world deal like never seen before!

I created a membership that is offering some pretty awesome things and in all actuality it is worth around $47 to $97 per month(I have seen sites that offer less go for that)

Anyway, I was going to offer it at about $15.00 per month to 300 members as a completely insane offer.

But the more I look at what I have created I am blown away and think I should charge more

So, I began thinking about charging $47 per month and limiting it to around 100 members.

I am not going to have an affiliate program because I am hoping it sells out fast enough

My question is would you rather ...

1) Pay $15 per month with 300 members

2) Pay $47 per month with 100 members

And my second question to maybe some warriors who run WSO..

Which do you think would sell out the best:

1) The $15 per month with 300 members offer

2) The $47 per month with 100 members offer

The salesletter is pretty awesome, it was written by a kickbutt warrior

I appreciate your time and opinions

regards,

$15 to me sounds low to the time and effort you put into the site. I know of many sites that charge like $37 I think you need to look outside the 100 or 300 members and go with something like 200 or 150 at $37 or somewhere around there not to pricey. However if you sell it at $15 i think your kind of branding your product as crap cause of the lower price. I am by no means saying it is crap so do not take that the wrong way. A higher price is your better bet here for limited members and great content. Hope this helps ya out

    Sean,

I understand what your saying about the perceived value at a lower price, but once you see it you would think I have completely lost my mind to sell it at $15 per month.

I want to offer a good deal... And another thing is, I am thinking of putting all my time in this membership and two more that I have going and canceling all other things and really making these superb!

I will probably only be offering this as a WSO so just not sure...

I think to some degree, perceived value isn't as important when it comes to WSOs as it normally is outside the forum. The reason is because you're supposed to be providing a great product/service at a special "insider price". Therefore, people not only understand, but also appreciate it when you give great value at a low price. One of the most popular WSOs ever (Angela Edwards' backlinks package) which is also considered to be insanely valuable, actually uses a membership model and is priced at a mere $5 per month (a ridiculously low price for what you're getting).

I don't know the nature of your offer, but if you would normally charge $47-$97 for it, I think that $15 sounds like a reasonable price for a WSO. I would say, however, that without knowing exactly what you're offering, I'm kind of swinging blindly here. But if you prefer to keep the details of the offer on the "DL" until you release it, then all I can tell you is to go with your gut my friend. All the best and good luck with your offer.

Sounds pretty sweet then and PM me the details if you can please I am interested to take a look into what your building

Depending on what you offer a $15 price limited to 300 can be an awesome deal. Working on my first content based membership site myself and been playing with numbers and reading non stop gotta sit back and just make up my mind lol

$15 per month sounds way too cheap to have much value at all. I believe at that price you're really cutting down on the perceived value of the product. The more imbalanced the offer-vs-the price, the more likely that people will think that your product must be too low end to charge a premium. Even worse, potential they may suspect something untoward is going on.

Based on everything I've experienced in my years, I'd caution strongly against a tremendous imbalance in price-to-product.

Of course, you could always do a split test. Or, prior to launch, you could present your offer to a group of potential customers without a price and ask them to value it for you.

I guess I need to find a happy medium, then run an awesome WSO for warriors.

But it will be priced at a price warriors will love no matter what I do

      Excellent.

My next WSO is going to be free. I was contemplating pricing and I wanted to make it affordable for Warriors, so I started at the price I'm going to advertise it to the general public ($37) and started working my way down -- but when I got to the point that the deal was really awesome for Warriors I realized that many may dismiss it completely due to the cheap price (again, the price-to-product imbalance). Since that was the case, I decided the best thing for me to do was to offer it for free.

Here's the question you should be asking yourself.

Do you want 100 customers, or 300?

That is what you really should decide on. There are pros and cons to each, so choose wisely.
