Hey Warriors,

What's a great way to find blogs in my niche. Are there any directories (etc.) I can search? Or something to type into Google to bring them up?

TIA.

You can try using this too:
"Name of your niche"powered by wordpress
And can repeat that search on Google using different search strings. Like: powered by blogger, typepad,or you can use your keyword "leave a comment"

You can also go to a section on the homepage of Google Search engine and search under blog for your keyword.

Wish you success in all your endeavours

Find ONE blog that is the authority on your niche. Figure out who links to that blog and who that blog links to. Start there. Why reinvent the wheel when your competition has done your homework for you? Of course, to win, you need to build on their strengths and fix their weaknesses.

Check Alexa.com, under your chosen keyword. You will soon find some cracking websites and blogs, ranked by their traffic stats.

I'm with Harvie316 on this one. Google is the best place to start. Find the authorities in your niche and then look at who's commenting. It's likely they'll be in the same niche too.

Also, do a keyword search on social media. Everyone is on sm these days, you're bound to find bloggers there as well.

Google has a blog search. You can also search there by typing in the related keywords to your niche.
Or if you are searching to comment type "comment:yourkeword"
On directories go to the blogs section. There also you will find. Dmoz, yahoo are very high ranking directories.

The previous tips are very useful. I just want to add this one for future reference:

You can just use Google Alerts using your Gmail account.

Google Alerts - Monitor the Web for interesting new content

    - You can search for your niche/keyword and the Result type set to:Blogs

    - Then you can set the alert "as it happens", "once a day" or "once a week"

    - Then you can narrow down the results by choosing "only the best results" or "all the results"

    Good Luck!

      Just another quick question:

What would be a great way to find Blogs that specifically have a "Blog Roll"/Resources List on their sidebar? Is there something I can type into Google?

Well, you really want to find blogs
that are relevant to your niche.
And if you're planning on blog
    commenting, use DropMyLink.com

You can filter it down to find relevant
    blogs that allow do-follow links.

I must admit, though, that find them
in the results are tough as do-follow
    blogs are becoming more rare.

Technorati.com is the worlds biggest blog search engine - good place to start.

AllTop.com. Pick a suitable category then a sub category if needed. The blogs listed tend to be the biggest and best blogs in the niche.

Topsy.com allows you to find influential people in your niche based on who tweets about what and gets the most interaction and these people usually have blogs - check their twitter profiles after finding them on Topsy.

Open Site Explorer is great for finding out what the most popular content on blogs is after you've discovered the best blogs in your niche. You can enter a domain then choose 'top pages' and it will show how many other websites are linking to the page / post - this is top quality content you'll want to improve on and publish to your own blog. You know for a fact people in your niche love it and will link to it.

Google used to allow you to search just for blogs by entering your keyword, hitting enter, then clicking on 'more' below the search bar and choosing 'blogs' or 'discussions' depending on what they had labelled it but it's vanished. They are constantly changing it so no doubt it will come back at some point.
