Here's my situation: launching an ecommerce site for a product I own that sells well on Amazon (weight loss supplement). I want to sell the product on my site so I can avoid the FBA fees (I'll still sell on Amazon of course). I plan on driving traffic with PPC. The question is, drive traffic to what page? The vibe I'm getting on this forum is to drive traffic to a squeeze page and email market from there. Is that really much more effective than driving traffic right to the product page? If so, why? It seems like 2 extra steps to get them to the direct page to buy. Or does the squeeze page supposedly make it easier to build trust?
Why a squeeze page?
