Hello to all my fellow Warriors!
So Im making a websites for my client (still havent finished in the first one, but its looking like it will be done soon).
My question is, how do I make money from my offline clients with hosting? I read somewhere, something about a resellers account, how does that work or what is it about???? Thanks in advance!!!

If you get a reseller account you get a control panel called WHM which enables you to create any number of cPanel accounts up to your allocated resources.

You pay a fixed monthly fee and charge your customers whatever you like.

I guess most here would recommend Hostgator - I would recommend a VPS.

    Agree with apc01.

You can usually purchase additional sub domains within your main domain for $10.

You can create the email accounts etc within you c panel and charge for a monthly hosting fee on top of the set up fees.

Inform them they have to get someone to make their web page for them but you are the host.

Why not just use your affiliate link when signing them up with the hosting company?

I think the answer depends on your goals, time, and finances. If you want to get really serious about hosting, then a dedicated machine is the way to go. The monthly price is not for the faint of heart, but you will have total administrative control over the system. You can install any OS and app you wish, make changes at any time without having to wait for tech support, etc. The downside is obvious - YOU are the tech support!

Next up would be a VPS. Same as dedicated, but cheaper and not as many resources such as disk space and bandwidth allocation.

Last would be a reseller account with an existing company. These are easy to get into and a good choice if your time and financial resources are limited. However, tech support is a key issue. Your reputation is tied directly to the provider. Beware that a lot of ISPs will load a server until it barely runs. This will slow all of the sites down and you will be blamed by your clients. Do your research before committing. It's very unpleasant to have to move a bunch of sites to a new provider when an existing one tanks.

If you are going to get into web hosting another important thing to remember is site ownership.

If you are the hosting, are you the owner of the domain name.....make sure it is clear that you are purchasing the domain name and hosting it for the client and not purchasing it on behalf of the client and holding the name for them.

Just added this comment so you are making the client understand clearly if they own the domain name or not. Could be a future problem.

Another thing to keep in mind if you decide to go with a reseller account is hosting support. As a reseller, you would be responsible for your clients' support needs, so unless you outsource your support, you'll be the one answering their tickets and emails. If you use an affiliate, then you won't need to support your clients as that will be the web host's job. However, since your earnings as an affiliate is commission based, you won't earn as much as you would if you were a reseller (you'll be able to set your price, if you resell).

If I were to make a recommendation, I'd say go look for a reseller that offers end-user support. This means that the web host will be supporting your clients in your stead, and it's often white-labeled, so your clients won't even know who your upstream web host is (they'll think it's you or your company supporting them directly). In this way, you will be able to earn greater profits and still avoid many of the hassles of being a web hosting provider.
