Amazon Product Review Removal?

Is it possible to remove a review on an Amazon product page (product page owner) that was fake and left from a "Non-Verified Amazon Purchaser"?

Things to consider...

1. Review has a typo (as per AZ review guidelines)
2. Review left by "Non-Verified Purchaser".

How can someone whom never purchased it leave a review in the first place!?

Thoughts anyone?

    Unfortunately you cannot remove any review, and Amazon usually ignores fake reviews.

    Anyone can write a review; including anonymous aggressors.

    that's one reason I'm hesitant to publish amazon kindle ebooks is because competitors would certainly post flames and negative comments without having even seen it, just to damage

    Yes - I contacted them and you guys are spot on! They won't remove the review! I know it's from competition and im so pissed over this. It's just not fair someone can leave a review and tarnish your product rating without actually "purchasing and using it". Screw AZ.

    Try this:

    1. Buy 1000 fake reviews for your product
    2. Call Amazon, tell them someone made 1000 fake reviews on your listing
    3. Amazon will verify the fake reviews and say they will not remove them

    Bingo, you get 1000 paid fake reviews authorized by Amazon...

      Amazon deletes fake positive reviews, even though it doesn't delete negative reviews written by anonymous aggressors.

      So, the OP will waste his time and money for nothing in the end.

    You do realize that people can leave reviews on Amazon even though they purchased a product elsewhere? I've done it several times (and all my reviews are real, based on my experience with a product). It's an "Amazon verified purchase" only if it was purchased through Amazon. So, you're making an assumption that may be entirely untrue.

    Also, a typo in a review is meaningless. Most people don't edit their reviews, so to think a typo means something is a bit ridiculous.

    Now, is it possible the review is fake? Yes. But that will likely be impossible to prove.

    If you are going to get this upset over one negative review, then you're probably in the wrong business. It's an extremely rare product that never gets a negative review, because there are always going to be a few people you can never please. Let it go and move on; fretting over it is wasted energy better spent on something far more productive.
