I came across this thread and I realized I have not been seeing forum signatures either.
I followed your very helpful instructions and they all appear.
This is an excellent tip for people like myself who have recently joined.

I am not sure but I think that for all new members, adding a link in their signature is not an option.

Most forums work that way because of too many spam complaints.

It's a good policy because of too much drive by spam. There should be a minimum post count requirement.

Signatures should be been seen by new warriors by default. Does anybody know if new warriors are not allowed to see signatures by default?

image signatures should be killed off forever, that's one suggestion for a more professional forum look
Forums are for finding answers to questions, not meant to look professional. People go out of their way to help others, and in return hope to get clicks to their signature. Without the signature perks, then people will lose interest in helping others, and the mods will be left alone to try and answers thousands of questions.

By default (for new members) the "Show your Signature" check box below the message editor is un-check.

I think for new members, you are allowed to configure your signatures but it won't show up until you made a certain number of posts before it's start displaying. But I'm not really sure.

I think you have to contribute something to forums in terms of sharing views, updates, helping other Warrior Members, Spreading Knowledge and yes there is a chance to gain of knowledge too. You can utilize it.
After Some postings you can set your signature. I do agree Forum Posting is the effective way to building backlinks but don't be a spammer, Be an Active User.

It's been a while since I've popped by the forum. Mine are checked to show, but not showing in previous posts. Unless I'm still too new or it shows up on this one... then problem solved :-)

I've gotten sucked into the kindle hoopla and neglected my website based business that I started with. Time to get back to the basics.

I think for me it was making sure the "show your signature" box was checked when posting. The last post I made where I wasn't sure if it was going to show or not did end up showing the signature so checking the box must have been the key. Thanks all.

There is no problem in the signature option. You should make signature by going on your Profile. Click on your user name on the top Right side on the page then click on the "Customize Profile". Go to "Edit Options" then Tick mark on the "Show Signatures" then click on the "Edit Signature" here you can give your signature. then make a post, finally you will see your signature.

LMAO... Um, a lot of time invested for a .35 to $2 payoff! It's a little monthly bonus if you are generating useful content as a muti tasking thing, but the time spent generating, say a full length fiction novel or something is a bit of a reach for a return on time invested if you are looking to pay the bills.

Depending on which browser I use, the signatures might show up or might not. It's possible one browser on which the signature lines don't show up has some type of ad blocker installed but I don't think signature links qualify as ads for that type of plug in. I still haven't figure it out yet. Though everyone's signature seems to be showing just fine now.

I had to turn on the option to see people's signatures. I don't know why the settings are made this way, but when people register, they are not able to see other people's (or their own) signatures. Maybe the new owners should change this and make the signatures visible by default, and if anyone wants to hide the signatures, he/she can just change his/her settings, and not the other way around.

My settings are all correct in CP, yet mine isn't showing. Maybe it's because I haven't been here in a while.

    Weird.

I paid to be a War Room member, and my inactivity has disabled my signature?

    Hmmmm, who would have thought.

Update: with THIS post, my signature appeared, so it was with the second post upon returning after a little spell of not posting, for anyone else who is wondering.

That's not the same problem: it's a different one.

A signature-file "not being available" usually arises because the moderators have removed the option from an individual member's profile - which sometimes happens if it's previously been used incorrectly/unwisely (e.g. for an affiliate link) and/or if the member appears to have posting in order to draw attention to his own signature-file (which is regarded as "promotional" and is most unwelcome).

You seem to be very quickly making a large number of very short and entirely unhelpful posts, some of them in non-current threads. That always makes people wonder whether you have an ulterior motive for "getting as many posts as you can" on the board. "Wanting to display a signature-file " is, of course, one of the common reasons for that.

My expectation is that many/most/all of the posts you've just made today will be deleted by the moderators, any minute now.

It's not "normal forum behavior" suddenly to go around as many threads as you can making comments like "very informative thread" and other three-word posts. Something's clearly "not quite right" when people do that: they're abusing the forum's hospitality for an agenda of their own, whatever it might be. (Did you honestly think nobody would notice?). So I'm not at all surprised, seeing that, that you seem also to have lost your signature-file privileges at some point in the past.

      Since you ask.

      Hey there!

No, you won't see them if you haven't posted in a while...

I had to make a few new posts in order to get my signature to show up, and yes, I had it set up properly.

It's a different situation for some folks, so there's not a blanket answer for all.

Your answer was given several times in this thread already, but thanks for chiming in.

      Have a great day.

Actually, that sounds like new information, maybe something others had not suggested before. And it just makes sense how they might restrict a person's signature if they haven't bothered to post in awhile. This would keep spammers from benefiting from spam posts.
