That's one of the main templates people use and it has spread online.

    Here is another one:

LOL poor Eben, everybody copies his landing page! But he does give you a good template to follow: Make it simple, have a good headline, list the features, give them something for free

      Hmmm...

Leading with a testimonial. I like that. Definitely will try it out!

Yea - whenever you lead with a customer testimonial, it gives you a "blanket of credibility" with your prospect on what you are about to say. This eases them into your copy with a more positive tone.

However, the thing about this is you have to ensure the testimonial you post is powerful and loaded with benefits that ALL your prospects are seeking. If you do this - you can't go wrong.

Yeah I think I have just the thing. Even better is the fact that I have a photo of the person that I'm allowed to use as well. This should really be powerful with regards to easing the prospect into my sales message.

But as always, you can never be 100% sure. I'll test it out and see how it compares to my normal sales message layout

I know that conversion has A LOT to do with the right kind of traffic.. obviously.

Can't wait to start a thread on that when I cross that bridge.

Totally agree with Jon, it's fantastic to lead with a testimonial, I'm thinking of leading with a video, does anyone know if this works well?

I'm not an expert in videos (never used them - I just want to throw this out there first), but my take is that:

Before you use videos, make sure your readers want it (click play on their own) - there is nothing worse than stumbling on a website with my music playing, them some video cuts on. It is VERY intrusive and will get me to turn away faster than anything.

Make sure the title of the video builds curiosity OR tells about specific benefits your prospect will take on with you offering - so they will click "play" on their own. This way, they won't feel so violated -

      Just a thought...

I agree that I also hate that type of thing But many times what one hates/loves and what sells/doesn't sell are very different things! Have to test and track results. If big sellers do it it's at least worth a test I think.
