Best Setting for google keyword tool?

Hey,

So when using the google keyword tool to find niches with a good amount of searches and not too much competition, should we set to tool to (broad), (phrase) or (exact)?

Thanks,

Stiz

i always use exact, sometimes phrase too. And i look at the "local averages" since they are exactly for the language/region i target.

I also look at Keyword Discovery and Wordtracker. Google results include search partners so that will inflate the number. Expect to get maybe 10% of the Google number if you are position one, 5% for two, and 3% for three. However, this is not always true.

For example, for one keyword that shows as 4400 on Google I get about 151 clicks per month on position one, but 509 clicks per month on position two. I have both positions one and two. Needless to say, people like two better.
