Don't Look For The Simple Way To Make Money With IM! Why?

16 replies
If something looks too good to be true then it is not worth doing. Hard work and consistency are the only keys to true online success.

Is there anyone else out there in the wider Warrior world who still, perhaps against 'expert' advice, looks for the easier IM ways to success? I know that this is so often not advised, by this guru and another, and I am not challenging their expertise one jot. I'm also very happy to state that there are plenty of scam-ridden, unworkable, shortcut rip-off systems out there that are definitely not worth your time and effort!

However, for some, the online dream still has that elusive glimmer, no matter how ill-advised, that easy (or at least 'easier') riches may still be a possibility. The fact is, some open-minded business types have tried out somewhat far-fetched ideas at times and hit the jackpot. It happens! And besides, if like many IM 'work slaves' out there, you toil for impossibly long hours to achieve the 'Internet lifestyle', but don't really enjoy your life, what was the point of it all in the first place!?

I guess the drive of this thread is that I encourage you not to totally let go of your IM dreams, even if they do fit in to the time-saving, frowned upon folder. Some of the greatest innovators in history have achieved big success as they dared to go against the majority and stuck to their own personal plan, no matter what. Sometimes, you just gotta believe in yourself!

In closing, I would never advise you to to engage in any illegal, or shady online activities in your efforts to get ahead. Do it the right way! But never let anyone tell you your ideas are Impossible! Take advice where necessary, adjust your goals if needed. Keep your dreams alive. And good luck!

    Well, if your IM dream is 'get rich quick' or 'buy this shortcut and get rich,' it's a good idea to LET THAT DREAM GO. IM is not a dream. It is the real deal. It takes hard work, sacrifice, focus, discipline, character, and FAITH to make it. In other words, it's like other businesses. Sure, you get to check your stats in your pajamas and you get to hang out at Starbucks while your sites make money but it is still a BUSINESS. Treat it like a business and you'll be fine.

    To make serious money with IM, it's like any business. You need to stay focused and follow a winning strategy. There are many avenues for income revenues however with so much information online, its very easy to get sidetracked and greedy to make a quick buck. So pick a strategy and mentor and follow the steps without trying to take short cuts. In IM, one is constantly learning and honing marketing and product skills. It's a life time occupation that can be financially rewarding.

    Lot of people come daily to try their luck in this field but just a few of them get success because most people have the misinterpretation that this is the easiest way to earn more money; and they spend less time and expect more to earn.

    We need to work REALLY HARD to earn a decent amount of money through our online home based businesses. If we really go through the success path of the masters of online or home based business we will find that no one has earned the reputation and money overnight.

    It is over consistent and persistent days of hard work which is now getting paid off.

    Right... That's how I see it. People flood the Internet marketing field expecting to get rich overnight. I probably I even had the same hopes. Since then, I realized that Internet Marketing isn't as easy as advertised. Still it is a great skill that I feel is worth mastering. Once mastered it makes you attractive to any business, product, service or idea. You can be involved in every niche or just one niche, and best of all you can do this from any computer, anywhere, at any time.

    I wish you woulda told me this 7 years ago when i first got started :confused: lol. I was lost, and eventually... tried doing some shady stuff online. As you can imagine... i made no money and got the boot from sites time after time. I guess life wouldn't really be so good if it weren't for pain.

      It's easy to see why the 'overnight success' thing has become such a common lure for newcomers to this business.

      Let's be honest, if all the gurus tried to sell their stuff with a sales page that said ..."Work 25 hours a day forever, and you'll probably get somewhere with this simple, honest, proven system".

      Can't see that selling much hey

      So naturally, your average product creator/marketer wants to make it sound a bit more appealing than a 25 stretch in San Quentin. And more often then not, let's be honest guys, our sales copy usually alludes to 'easy', 'earning big money pretty fast', 'internet lifestyle' etc.

      And then, we contribute to threads like this to tell the world the San Quentin stretch is the easier of the two. It could almost be a bit hypocritical methinks. But I do it too

    With all due respect, this is not true. They are not the only keys. While consistency is definitely a key to success with anything in life, hard work, in general is not.

    If that were the case, my ancestors would've been the most successful people in history during slavery....they worked hard consistently!

    Since you're talking about online success, things like knowledge of proven strategies, working smart, consistency, and focus are huge when it comes to being successful in making money online.

    You can consistently work hard, but if you lack focus, those 2 become more of a hindrance, than a help.

    You can consistently work hard, but if you lack knowledge of proven strategies, the road to success can become more like a road that never ends.

    The keys to online success are more than just hard work and consistency.

    Some people just want to try it out in making money online but only few are successful because most people think it's just a push a button or done for you kinda thing. Many of making money program that promises you that it's a push a button or you can make money are simply not true without a mentor or support you really can't get far.

    People have to work HARD to make money through online home based businesses. Even the professional marketer didn't make money overnight and some even have to end up paying someone to teach them on how to.

    It is being persistent and determine to finally pay off and see results that you want!

    • For something to work, in this case earning money online, offline or anywhere -- All relevant things should be simple for you, in my opinion...

      Simple isn't necessarily easy. Simple isn't necessarily fast. A simple way to earn money may be something like this: -- Heads Up: Long Post! --

      *** Create a product (a physical product, or a digital product like software or a Web portal, or a service package, or anything) that can serve as an effective solution for the immediate needs and urgent problems and obsessive wants of your target markets, problems and needs and wants that they can neither solve nor satisfy on their own;

      *** Integrate additional benefits for your target markets into your product that can't be found elsewhere;

      *** Slap a reasonable price tag to your product that'd be fair in the eyes of your target markets for the value that they can get from your product;

      *** Implement simple, safe and secure processes into your point of sales establishments (including your Web properties) that can allow your target markets to quickly, easily, safely and securely purchase your product;

      *** Integrate content materials and versions of your product and quick professional customer support contacting options into your point of sale establishments that can make your target markets think and feel that your company is a friendly and reputable expert resource of products and solutions with before and after sales benefits that can't be found elsewhere;

      *** Develop hardsell and softsell marketing materials for your point of sale establishments that can instantly communicate to your target markets the benefits that they can get from your product and how your product guarantees to provide them with such benefits and why those exact set of benefits can't be found elsewhere;

      *** Distribute your softsell and hardsell marketing materials across heavily trafficked places, offline and online groups / communities, websites and so on where your target markets hang out because they expect to find experts and like-minded people and content and products that can help solve and satisfy their immediate needs and urgent problems and obsessive wants; and

      *** Track the results of your promotional campaigns, customer queries, after sales support performance and so on, in order to improve your company's back end and front end processes, products and promotional campaigns, and keep an eye out on certain avenues and markets that may be profitable for you to grow and expand your company to...

    I think you may be confusing "simple" and "easy" here. There are simple ways to earn money online with IM, although they may not be easy.

      I was just going to add that "work hard and be consistent" sounds pretty simple to me.

      Come and let's go welding in the desert.

      As far as people wanting to "get rich quick" or looking for a "push button solution" goes; I've been supporting and helping IMers for over a decade and never once (truly - not once ever) have I ever heard anyone say they wanted or expected or thought it was even possible to "get rich quick/overnight" - not once. I've never heard anyone say they were looking for a push button solution or that they were not prepared to do what it takes to achieve some income off the internet. Seriously...not once.

      As for things that are too good to be true goes; there are thousands of times when I thought that and in fact the reality was that it was true. I've done things in my life I never would have thought possible and all of them would have been placed in the "too good to be true" category. If something appears "too good to be true" then it's probably not "too good to be true" at all. Especially if it comes from a trusted source.

      This thinking comes from one's own personal experiences and self doubt. It's something we tell ourselves often to avoid doing something hard or that would involve moving out of our comfort zone. I'm sure there are people who think that getting paid $1,000 a week in a job is "too good to be true"...especially if they're starving to live in $1 a day. It clearly is true but they just haven't got the experience to believe it.

      Sometimes when things seem "too good to be true" it's not that they are too good to be true (many times they're actually true) but that what we believe to be true needs to expand to reality. I used to get the "seems too good to be true" on all sorts of things I was trying to explain that were true and were good.

      Cliches, too many cliches. No one (in my experience) expects to get rich instantly. No one is expecting to find one button to push to get rich and no one doesn;t expect to work hard to achieve their dream of freedom through internet income. Every single person I've ever spoken to about this would settle with "possible if you work hard and study". Has anyone actually spoken to anyone who actually thought these things? I personally doubt it. If they do they are mentally retarded and really shouldn't be included in the poll.

      I agree, it's obviously possible to make a living online in the comfort of your favourite surroundings and in many cases even making $100 a week online is "too good to be true" to a LOT of people. I'd say that making more than enough to live on is "rich" and if it takes anything less than the normal 45 year "work hard, save hard and retire broke" then in my book - that's quick enough.
