Problems with Browsers

1.) It seems like the new version of Firefox has completely blocked Pop-Ups. Sales funnels just don't seem to function.

2.) Internet Explorer is stopping me from my online banking site because of Certificates. C'mon man! My secure online banking site is dangerous? Don't think so...

Does anyone else have problems with browsers?

  • Yup, I have flip flopped amongst all the leading and some very obscure browsers.

    Whether its FireFox, IE, Maxthon, Chrome or the now Windows defunct Safari and Opera each has their own advantages and disadvantages, in short they are all equally as bad and as good as each other.

    You just need to find one that where what you need works the best.

    For me the ability to backup and sync my favorites across devices is key, Chrome is the best for this.

    • I use browsers like tools. I wouldnt use a shovel to hammer in nails and hammers to dig. Each browser will have its own advantages. I have all four top ones but I love firefox because i can check other site's pagerank.
      Chrome is great for html coding. So use the right tool for different jobs.
  • I use Safari and Chrome almost exclusively. But they all get 'buggy'. You have to empty the cache every couple of days, clear history, the whole nine yards.
    Plus a complete shut down and re-start of your computer every few days is pretty much mandatory. Helps keep things running pretty smooth on my end.

    • So what everyone here is saying is that what good is building a sales funnel only to have certain browsers eliminate the entire funnel at the first page. That is a big percentage of potential sales flushed down the drain, so to speak... Then what good is a sales funnel with browsers that won't operate them?
  • For marketing, it's probably in your best interest to use an older model of a browser, and DONT change it. Disable auto-updates, and make sure you have a good firewall, anti-virus software, and spybot cleaner. And stay off adult sites. If something is working good (ie: your laptop)... don't mess with it.

    But then again..... as the browsers get updated each year, you do run the risk of having your sales pages looking "funny" on these new browsers. You're best bet in this situation is to build your site with a really good site builder tool.
