What are current Click Through Rates?

Did some google and see banners are only around .10% CTR these days is this about right?

I didn't really see any figures on text links within articles, I am assuming those are much higher if placed in good articles. What CTR is about average for these lately?

There are so many variables to your question that unless you mention a niche, it's really hard to give you any meaningful answers. Different search patterns, different search volumes, interest levels, etc.

  There are no averages. Every campaign will be different, depending on many factors.
  
  If you tailor your banners to each different site you can get some great results, but they will vary widely. The only way to know is test.

All that matters is the results YOU are getting. Test your own banners against one another.

CTR is irrelevant anyway. All that matters is ROI. If you are making money then the banners are good. If you are losing money after paying for the ads then the banners are bad. Simple as that.
