Clickbank Hopfeed Ad Builder Alternative

Hello,

I am new to Internet Marketing and I am currently going through one of Sean Donohoe's courses Extreme Niche Empires which I know was done 3 years ago and maybe be a bit outdated. It is a very good course I have to say that i have learned quite alot being a newbie.

Sean discusses in the course how to monetize you niche sites by adding clickbank ads on your site. In that module there was the code to copy and paste in a widget in WordPress. Of course you have to change your keyword search and your CB nickname in the code. I could never get it to work. Placed a call with their helpdesk and awaiting a reply.

So I did some research and found out that clickbank stopped their adbuilder last year. I did compare the code that someone had showing how to use adbuilder and it turns out to be the same type of code in the course.

My question: Is there any other way to create hopfeeds for clickbank? I am not a programmer so i am hoping there is some type of code generator out there.

I did find a site through a thread online that they use cbdealer.com
In order to use it you have to signup.They ask for your clickbank nickname as a username and create a password which I did that is different from my CB account password.

Has anyone used it this before? Should I been concerned they have my clickbank nickname. I did try the code however it looked horrible and I noticed in the code that there was nowhere to put your CB nickname.

Sorry for the long explaination but I am a newbie and want to be careful.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Craig

BTW: Here is the sample code from the course

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
hopfeed_template='';
hopfeed_align='LEFT';
hopfeed_type='IFRAME';
hopfeed_affiliate_tid='';
hopfeed_affiliate='YOURCBID';
hopfeed_fill_slots='true';
hopfeed_height='280';
hopfeed_width='300';
hopfeed_cellpadding='5';
hopfeed_rows='5';
hopfeed_cols='1';
hopfeed_font='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Sans Serif';
hopfeed_font_size='9pt';
hopfeed_font_color='333333';
hopfeed_border_color='E1E4ED';
hopfeed_link_font_color='375d81';
hopfeed_link_font_hover_color='375d81';
hopfeed_background_color='E1E4ED';
hopfeed_keywords='panic attack';
hopfeed_path='http://YOURCBID.hopfeed.com';
hopfeed_link_target='_blank';
// --></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src='http://YOURCBID.hopfeed.com/script/hopfeed.js'></script>

    Warning! The feed no longer works like you think using the old code or this code with the remark code removed so it can work. With ether version click on one of your ads and try to buy it. when you get to the page where you pay, look at the bottom line of the page you will find [ affiliate = pytch] if pytch is not your clickbank affiliate id you won't get paid he will.

      jimhouse, you are correct. I've started to troubleshoot this since I've noticed the ads were not showing the proper Clickbank ID in the URL after I simulate to buy the product. Even after I had the ClickBank ID set correctly in the wp-admin form page. It keeps takin me to this other ID "pytch". Furthermore, if you view the page where the ad is, via "page-source" or "inspect Element", it will show your proper ClickBank ID. Very Interesting!

      I could spend all day trying to find out where the code is being hi-jacked. Or, I rather create another sidebar widget and insert the code.

      I would like to find a plugin that will rotate through a few selected CB product links or handle multiple CB links.

    Wordpress has good plugins now to manage Clickbank products so you don't have to do stuff manually like paste scripts into widgets.
