Selling individual pieces of content membership software?

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with a software that would allow me to do this?

I have a membership site where for a fixed fee I sell my whole content library of about 50 articles.

Is there a software out there that would allow me to sell each article (or a group of articles) individually to my the members?

So let's say John is only interested in one of my articles, I'd like to give him a choice to buy just the content he wants without having to buy the whole library.

Is that possible?

Thanks,

I was thinking about that, but would I need to convert these article to PDF or something and sell them as e-material probably, no? As soon as I do that, those PDFs would be pirated and available for everyone for free...

I was hoping for a solution which just lets the user access portions of my article base that he/she purchased. If he/she purchases more, those articles would be available under his membership as well.

    Nowadays.. Everything can be ripped.

If you create something that can be readable, it will be easily printed and rewritten.
If you use in a PDF format, then include your watermark in the background, but again it can easily be removed.

If you create videos, they can easily be downloaded but you can still have your watermark on it, that will make it protected and linked back to you

Bottom line, whatever you will put on the internet will be one day or another free.

But if you went to that point of having people going by trouble to make it free, just know that you created valuable content and by then you would've made a lot of money selling it

      Thanks for your thoughts

If I was selling this to Western market, I would definitely go this route, however the content is for Russian market, where pretty much everyone first checks the pirate sites (which there are many) and only then buys if he/she can't find anything there.

In my experience, going the e-book route for non-fiction content is probably not a good idea for the Russian Market.

You just need a membership oriented web solution with different access level where your customer can see only that portion for which he paid .

              Hi,

It sounds to me you need a membership plugin that allows selling posts individually (that has a pay-per-post feature).

There are many membership plugins who offer this feature, among them you can find: Wishlist Member, S2Member and Magic Members.

You can also use Easy Digital Downloads with the Content Restriction plugin.

We're using both Wishlist Member pay-per-post in several websites and EDD with the Content Restriction plugin in others.

We prefer EDD in this case since it allows you to sell bundles more easily and has more flexibility (you can create as many bundles as you like).

If you want to use it inside a Wishlist website then using Wishlist Bundles (Disclaimer: a plugin developed by my team) is perfect for this.

We actually developed it due to our clients' requests.

If you are interested, you can see all its features here:
Wishlist Bundles | Happy Plugins Store

              Good luck

              Danit
