My team and I decided we wanted to try to sell packages offline in which we would create a perfected IM system for someone's business, this included:
- A Website
- Three Landing Pages
- AutoResponder
- Digital Product
- E-Commerce System
- Help Desk
We were already doing this, however, quote by quote instead of all inclusive packaging.
We are all really good salesmen, and so we decided it would be more beneficial if we spoke face to face, shook hands, and talked to our prospective customers instead of sending out catalogs and emails.
Here is how we marketed and implemented the above concepts.
First, we contacted a local Hilton (a hotel with business conference rooms) and receive quotes on their rooms, surprisingly, they were very reasonable and would give us the whole room with No Catering, just space, for $400.... of course we had a 100 person limit with this room, but to a run a test on this system that is all we wanted to do.
We Xeroxed 500 postcards, and 1000 flyers with our information about our FREE seminar coming up in a month time. That's right, completely and utterly free information.
We did some soliciting at Staples, Office Max, Borders, and eventually handed out all the flyers and postcards within a week.
Out of the 1,500 pieces of advertisment handed out, in three days we had confirmation by phone ( which converts better then website in postcard and flyer marketing) for our 100 spots...

SEMINAR MATERIAL

- We purchased $100 worth of bagels and orange juice
- Powerpoint Screen (included in our Hilton Business Package)
- Myself and an old client (partner)
Luckily, we had an old client who we Joint Ventured on this business deal with who did not mind coming on stage and speaking about the success he has had, which includes a mailing list size of 800 people, and $40,000 worth of revenue from the system we setup for him alone, all within 6 months.

The Actual Seminar

First I introduced myself and thanked everyone for coming out to our seminar, on the screen I showed the analytics chart from our client that we will be discussing on.
We started with the concept of the Internet, explained that the business practice is some what different from the normal and that, you need to build trust because their is no tangiable handshake like their use to.
I create interactivity amongst my listeners by asking what ways they think could be implemented to create buyer trust with a prospective customer through their website.
No one really had any good answers... one person said email them, which brought us into the conversation of a mailing list and autoresponder series.
We sat on autoresponders for about 45 minutes, discussing effective ways of setting up their autoresponder, never touching it, but consistently producing an income off of it.
Next we moved into search engine optimization tactics, and landing pages to convert people to your mailing lists...
Finally we moved into digital product development and expansion out of their local community to the world wide web.
The whole seminar took about 2 hours, and 45 mintues of Q&A

The Sell

Selling was super easy because throughout the whole seminar we used a real live client as the basis behind our content.
At the end of the seminar, we presented the opportunity with 6 visuals, assuming most of these business people are just getting use to the idea of digital design and product, we put 6 posters on the stage that said in big words.

We explained that we are opening limit positions up and that it is first come first serve, but they can be on a waiting list afterwards...
We sold out our twenty spots in 15 minutes...
$50,000, one weekend, simple seminar, simple system....
