Asking other sellers to include my content and "site link" in their ebooks?

I'm in the online fitness niche, specifically Health & Fitness - Strength Training. I opened my website a few months back and have started the on/off page SEO process. However I was thinking, since I also have created some "single page PDF" free downloadable ebooks for the site as well, could I find someone else in the fitness niche who sells in high volume that would let me add these to their main products in order to get some hits on my site? For example it could serve as bonus content for their product and would have my link at the bottom of the page.

Would this be a good idea or how might I go about doing it.

Thanks for any advice.

Unless you have the same volume as them I would say no.
You could pay for optins though through a ppl program.
Tell them to include your link and everyone that signs up to your
optin you will pay .50 cents.

Create an affiliate program and let your affiliates know they can include your goodies via their affiliate link. I do that often within my own products.

I prefer the above. Because other sites link to free downloads and ebooks withot you appraocing them.

I don't like this personally ... long shot that they open your email and accept the offer.

It's a good idea, although a little flawed.

You gotta ask, what's in it for them?

Are you sending equal traffic or sales back to them?
Are they making affiliate commissions on a high converting product?

Do a little research on integration marketing, it should help give you some ideas about doing what you're wanting to do.

I was just thinking that if I were to give them a 1-5 page ebook to include as a freeby with their product that it would increase it's value that little bit (enough for them to say yes). I can write based on years of experience in the industry not as someone who is outsourced to write for $5 / 300 words.. unfortunately that's difficult to prove to them.

Thanks for all the clarification in the replies anyway.
