Which wacky option is better?

I'm making a video-based financial education course that exposes the high hidden fees and our own self sabotage.

I plan to use an attractive female doll (not a goofy puppet) as a cohost who either plays the part of:

1] a financial advisor who I'd use to confront about high fees and other questionable things about the industry

2] or an average investor - my target customer, who could be used play a student going through my training and to set up a fictional sample case study, etc

I'm unsure if the part of advisor or average investor is the better approach marketing-wise???

My original idea was the advisor, but average investor is growing on me because that's a representation of my customer!

I wouldn`t incorporate my buyer into a puppet. It won`t sound ok to him. Make the puppet a financial advisor, if you want my advice.

Hmmm... I should mention that the doll has the look of an attractive young career woman, not a goofy unattractive puppet.

Agreed, especially as you should want to come across as the authority, not a doll.
