Do I need optimise press 2?

I held off forever to grab OP2 when I had OP1. I was a little pissed the first one stopped being supported.

But I made the move just about 2 weeks ago to upgrade. Totally worth it! If you create a page a week, then this will help save a ton of time. I like it a lot better than OP1 too.

sure, its the current trend going on right now. I love optimize press and use it for everything I do. The new templates are very nice and smooth and convert very well but then again so does the old version. I have an older site and it still getting 30 to 45% conversion on daily traffic. Just need to optimize it.

The ugliest sites can still give you a nice return if you spend the time and set it up.

Obviously you don't have to have #2 and if you are happy with 1...

Then I'd recommend sticking with it.

You don't NEED the latest and greatest upgrade to every product, if the original still does what you need it to do.
There are still plenty of Iphone 4 users out there...
Just ask yourself if the upgrade is worth it to you, for what you're doing - today, not what you hope to be doing tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments, looks like an even split. To be honest I have always found the page setup on OP1 a little awkward, so will take the plunge on version 2, it won't bankrupt me!:-)

I bought it a few weeks after it came out it was a big change of how it build pages vs OP1. I continued to use version 1 but the support is pratically gone for it so I moved to OP 2 and after the learning curve I found that I do really like it.

Easy to build Landing Pages and Blogs. I have not tried the membership yet.

Totally worth it.

I had OP1 but OP 2.0 is a vast improvement.

If you are going to building lots of squeeze pages, sales pages, and membership sites then it is definitely worth the investment.

You don't need it, but you should try it. I know a few people who purchased it and like building pages with it better than version 1. And of course... no more support for version 1 is a good reason too.

Hi,

If you're thinking of creating a membership site then I would recommend
O.P. 2.

It's all point and click dead simple stuff.

There are of course supporting videos that walk you through it all too.

We all know that it's imperative that your visitors to your landing pages,
blog pages, sales pages etc are kept there for as long as possible as it
only takes a couple of seconds for people to make a decision on whether
they are going to stay or leave your page for good.

O.P. 2 looks clean and professional which can only help your retention rates
and allow you to capture more leads, keep others at your blog longer and of
course easily set up great looking membership sites too.

If you are using OP1, make sure you have upgraded to the latest version (which patched a rather icky security hole).

I tried OP2 and found it to be slower and clunkier than OP1 so I went back to OP1. OP2 just takes too long to get anything done. You spend a lot of time waiting for things to load even on a fast system with a good internet connection.

I have never found this on a consistent basis Andy. It will hang on the occasional time, but overall it is pretty sharp and quick.

Now they have just added the Optimizer Overlayer to it as well, which gives the ability to create lightboxes with opt in forms on (like LeadPages).
