Problem with wordpress widget

INTERNET MARKETING

Hello everyone, I want to add a categories widget on my wordpress site on primary sidebar, and the thing is, that I only want to add 2 parts of categories: products that I sell, and accessories of the products that i sell. The problem is, that it also shows all the other parts of categories of my website. For example my blog posts are uncategorized, and in the category dropdown meniu there is a section that says "uncategorized". Any ideas how to delete it?

there are plugins that will allow you to exclude certain categories. Here's one:

WordPress › Pro Categories Widget « WordPress Plugins

Search the "add new" plugins area for more.

You simply go into your WordPress Admin, click "Plugins" > "Add New" > Search for your desired plugin > "Install Now" > Then, "Activate Plugin"

Next, follow up with the settings for that particular plugin.

Maybe a link widget is better? Instead of the dropdown have two hyperlinks with the categories you want to use.

I usually just rename "uncategorized" to whatever topic that I want, but here's an thread on that topic here: WordPress › Support » removing category-uncategorized

If I only rename it, it will still lead to that uncategorized category, instead to the one that I added
