Highest Converting VSL?

Hey, Warriors. I'm currently in the process of creating an IM Clickbank product that is going to launch in the next 4-6 months. I already a well-written VSL script, but.... here's the tricky part. I don't know what kind of video I should use on the sales page. I have already created a Powerpoint video (about 16 minutes long), but I don't know if I should invest even more money to hire someone to create a whiteboard video. If I were to hire someone to create a whiteboard video, I would make sure that it would be completely original, meaning that I wouldn't want to use any pre-used images. The unfortunate thing is.... that's expensive as hell. Any advice? What's the highest converting VSL for IM products? Is it worth investing in a professionally made whiteboard video (a few thousand dollars)? Thanks! All help appreciated.

I'd recommend going with an ugly vsl...

For the simple fact that they are dirt cheap to make

Throw slides in PowerPoint, then record reading the slides

In terms of best VSLs in IM, not too sure

But I know google sniper still pulls in quite a few sales

And if you watch the first minute of it, you might see a familiar face

Nice! I did see a familiar face! Do you recommend putting in testimonials like Google Sniper's promotional video?

Social proof is always a great thing to have...

Because what others say about your product / service carries a ton more weight than what you can say about it.

And if others start talking about seeing results...

WHILE covering some of the major objections a buyer might have...

        You are golden!

Kinda explains why 'word of mouth' is such a great thing

For sales letters it's honestly your story and the benefits that count to the person viewing. Plain black text on white seems to just work best and is so easy to create in powerpoint or any other free presentation software.

One more recent internet marketing product on clickbank that comes to mind is the trustjacker sales video, which is mostly black text on white with some images here and there.

The video is part of the course or for the sales page?

For the sales page. Once the voiceover and recording is done, i'll show it to you guys.

Instead of going with a whiteboard video, what about one of those animated doodle videos. There are getting to be so many people doing them that they aren't nearly so expensive anymore. The thing is, you'll want to split test it out.

Or you could look at it like this: Ryan Deiss is one of those guys that tests the bejeezus out of everything and almost every single sales video he does across at least 4 markets that I know of personally are all of a VERY simple slideshow variety.

I pretty much always use these kinds of videos myself. They're easy, cheap, and can be put up fast which means now you can split test different types of sales messages with little effort.
