(Revealed) How My 2014 Profits Are By Up 600%+ .. List Building Really Does Work!

List building had been a source of frustration for me, up until quite recently. Signups were never really the problem, targeted traffic was converting nicely on my squeeze page and the information being offered seemed to work like a charm.

The real issue was with my sales funnel and the lack of skill with follow-up email series. With some expert assistance, I have been able to reconstruct and tweak my sales funnel strategy and selling techniques. The result, affiliate profits up 600%+ from last year, in just the first 2 and a half months of 2014!

How did I do it? Firstly, I stopped 'overselling' in my email series. A big mistake many marketers make. I improved my traffic generation by only investing in high quality solo ads and those to proven buyer's lists. Some marketers complain that solo ad traffic is too expensive for them but I encourage you to focus on quality, build your list at a slower pace and forget about quantity of leads.

Also, I started tracking more closely what was working in my marketing campaigns. Hours of social media marketing was trimmed, Facebook and Twitter efforts were replaced with targeted forum content submission. My choice of promoted affiliate products was also changed, in order to maximise ROI.

I also stopped promoting on StumbleUpon, Pinterest, Digg, Reddit and a few other sites, as the efforts were not paying off. Instead, I built a Tumblr blog to help with traffic generation and used it for redirects to my lead capture page as direct linking was hurting my marketing efforts through site warnings and potential bannings.

After streamlining my marketing approach, and being a bit ruthless in changing selling strategies, the results are starting to pay off. I encourage you to adjust your own marketing efforts, where needed, and don't be afraid to do a radical overhaul with your sales funnels etc. Best of luck!

yes the money is in the LIST, the Quality of the LIST and how you offer stuff to them

but key here is getting on a list of buyers list.

That is the real secret, free seekers will be thre, but buyers on a list are always craving for stuff, if you can get them on your list, you will never have to work another day in your life.

Awesome work, now upscale and really show what you are made off. Well done! Keep up the good work.

      Thanks Celente!

Buyers lists are definitely out there. I have another buyer's solo going out tomorrow. Some solo ads sellers seem to guard their lists very closely. Yet, the really top quality solo sellers include buyers with their standard lists too. There are a top group of 4-5 solo ad sellers online who are Really excellent! Search for them like treasure troves I recommend to marketers.

Thanks for this excellent thread, David!

It's true that marketers shouldn't focus on a tactic that doesn't work (I'm referring to Einstein's quote). Apparently you could easily find what works for you, now take the next step!

List Building is the new marketing.

          Thank you Vandernath!,

I thought the Einstein quote was an apt one. It is surprisingly easy to get in to a habit of struggling and persevering at all costs with a business model that just does not work. Testing, tracking and analysing results is so important for today's marketers. It was stressed to me by a mentor that I should completely take emotion out of the equation when I make important business decisions. A strictly scientific approach to data analysis is preferred, and for good reasons!

If you just cannot be dispassionate when it comes to professional fiscal decisions, you should probably consider teaming up with another person who can efficiently make smart financial choices. Your business should benefit!

Hello David, I really don't like to promote products but I will say that I have benefited from using Matt Bacak's solo ad black book. It helped me to pinpoint a number of good quality solo sellers. I could list names here but I still feel that is a bit of an unfair 'plug'. What I will say is that I have kept a notebook of the quality Solo Ad seller names and read about who the most recommended are with great interest. Take notes, make lists. Test small first up and revise lists, if needed, on results of solos.

Many Google searches later: 'Best Quality Solo Ad Sellers' and similar, and after reading countless testimonials, I feel that I have targeted an efficient short list of great sellers. Here is one free resource that may assist you: Reed Floren's Solo Ad Directory

To find buyer's lists I have had to ask around. Email sellers and ask them about buyer's list ads. Most are only too happy to help but you do really need a quality offer.

Instead of just seeking out 'buyers' solo ads (which you'll probably be unable to verify anyway and it's odd that someone wants to sell off his buyers) you should build your own buyers list by creating your own products.

If you can create a free bribe for your squeeze page that is good enough for people to remain subscribed to your list and buy other products you recommend then you can create paid products.

You can even get affiliates on board to promote for you which will build your list for free.

Good points Stuart. When doing solos to buyers' lists you can usually see by the results if there is quality in the list. Also, squeeze pages that do not promote free products can be more effective tools for marketers. The theory that free products can attract freebie seekers, and not buyers, may be an apt one. Some marketers give a tease page of quality information that is contained in a product then get people to sign up if they want access to the product page etc.

Personally it's rare for me to use squeeze pages or freebies anymore because I find that despite the higher conversion rates it results in poor quality subscribers and woeful open ad click rates most of the time.

I prefer the blog with top notch content that slowly builds a high quality list of engaged subscribers who you've built a solid relationship with. Makes more money for me every time I've tested it with the squeeze page method.

Thanks, I agree with you Stuart. Building relationships is key! My own IM blog was discontinued recently for technical reasons. With email subscribers, I think you can build quality 'internal' connections if you are endlessly inventive and savvy with your subject lines. I read a recent study that claimed that a high percentage of people actually do read the majority of their email subjects. They may skim through their inbox but 'Kapow' headlines will tend to pull them in.
