The first thing that got me started making my first $1 online as well as propelling me to a full time income online was list building and email marketing.

I started off driving traffic to a simple squeeze page, building a list, and then monetizing that list. Worked well back in 2005... and works even better now.

Focused on building a list and nothing else!

Stopped chasing the "next big thing" and realized that all the "gurus" had email lists and that they all promoted stuff to me through those lists...

The light bulb went off - I made a commitment to work only list building and I never looked back since... That was in 2010

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Coby

Got myself a targeted list of buyers and did everything I could to help make their own businesses successful.

Then I kept growing the income by blogging daily to start getting organic traffic.

It seems that most of the people who experienced success all emphasize on the importance of list building.

Anyone have any tips on how to get started on learning list building?

To build list not very difficult nowadays.. I'n my self knew about listing on 2008 when first started online but didn't knew how to build and feel very lazy to do it since list building needs time. I'm only looking for overnight success business.. lol

But since many things happened, ebay suspended, google update, adsense banned, SEO need a lot of hard work to do.. Feel regret im not learn list building.

Today you can get easy traffic like solo ad.

Just create squeeze page, setup funnel, then drive traffic.. Looks like easy but you need learn and research how to set it up properly..

I'm sure list building worth every time and money i'm spending. And the most important thing this is real longterm business.

    Find a hungry market.

Build a targeted list with HUGE needs.

Ask them what their NEEDS are.

Give them something that satisfies their needs.

Charge them for helping them with their needs.

My first income came from adsense back in the day. I was using paid traffic, had no idea what I was doing. Didn't know about setting a budget or any of that good stuff.

Well my campaign went live and I logged off and did what ever and came back around four hours later and went to my traffic site and saw that I blew threw the 20 bucks. wow, could not believe I had that much traffic that fast...

So I jumped over to my adsense account and the excitement lifted me ten feet off my chair. I just made $450 in four hours. Holy Shi*

I did that for around four to five months before I got terminated for not following the policy changes. The night before I checked and had a deposit of 18 thou coming in the next day and when I woke up to check and saw there was no money I went to my account only to be blocked out.

I can't complain! I brought in a little over 20 thousand in those four short months besides it was my fault for not following procedure. I would have made a lot more but I didn't have the toolbox between my ears to handle it back then and instead partied with a lot of that money.

Not to preach but when I started to work harder on myself than on my job thats when my results started to change. It's the things you can't see

I have never slowed down since...

Building good relationships with other marketers on social networks.
I learned from many independent marketers (Not gurus)
Many people think the only way to make money online is creating you own product. Which is good if you have good reputation and connections.

In my opinion all you need is this!
A solid affiliate program and learn how to sell.
I built my business and quit my job using free facebook strategies. And i dont mean spamming like everybody else. Once you learned how to sell, you can make money anywhere. Yesterday i made 2 sales from the warrior forum using the same strategy.

For my first income, i sold a raunchy ebook. I offered a 50% discount to a list of 60 people, and got 2 sales. I was in college at the time.

For my full time income, i focused on building a real business. I used to work as a Lead IT Technician for a major corporation with 70 locations nationwide. I saw how each department worked, and how we all depended on each other. This gave me the indication of how i should be running my internet business. And i followed it, and i'm grateful that i acquired that job.
