Alternative to e-junkie for selling ebook?

I have an ebook for sale.

I tried registering for e-junkie and it has a restriction based on my location. I'm an American but overseas.

I have before used distribly. But their pricing is steep. AND I do not get the email of the people who purchased (which is big for me). I want people to pay by paypal.

The book is in pdf format. I wanted to get e-junkie as it is what most in my niche are using. Any alternatives to e-junkie?

You may find the following websites useful to sell your ebooks.

I cannot say if there are any restrictions regarding location. This is something I did not have to deal with.

You mean like getting a notification for every sale? This is possible with the iOS app of Instabuck (instabuck.com)

Disclaimer: Instabuck is a site I own

I sold my book on Gumroad. If you already have an audience it works great!

I have tried Gumroad too. They dont pay you untill you reach 10 dollar and they took a little commission too. Best option is to have a qordpress blog and Install easy Digital download plugin. Its free nad awesome. it has everything you need. Email, Discount, Paypal, Visa etc. And you keep all the money , no cutoff.

      Absolutely!

A website with a pop-up plugin like pippity to capture leads and a sales video with a paypal button.

Pippity, domain registration, and monthly hosting pay off quickly if you have traffic and a quality product.

      Hope that helps,

WHY DON"T THESE SITES SAY IF THEY WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH AN EMAIL After a purchase.

Which sites provide the email when a user buy? This is numero uno for me and gold in my business. Do any of these sites provide the email?

At Instabuck you can see all your customers emails through your dashboard and you can also export them in excel or csv format. Additionally you can see their countries.

Honestly there's no direct alternative to E-junkie. E-junkie is a reliable proven platform. It totally sucks that it still uses Flash for its UI but they are working on a new one. Also I tried most of the mentioned here services/plugins and they suck even more for other reasons.

    1. Jvzoo - totally frustrating user experience, every single click requires re-approval, there are so many bugs so it's a disaster in the making to use it.
    2. Easy Digital Downloads - the plugin is cool and free BUT ... for every single feature beyond basics you need to pay for addon $30-$50 which adds up pretty quickly. Wanna accept credit cards with Stripe? Pay for addon. Wanna secure downloads with Amazon S3. Pay for addon.
    3. Digital Product Delivery - looks good only before you try to test it as a buyer. The design and user experience is so ugly - who thought E-junkie was outdated?
    4. Sellfy - pay cut 5% for every transaction ON TOP of already existing PayPal/Stripe fees. Are you kidding me?

I think e-junkie is good too and who cares about backend, whether it's flash or whatever. It's set and forget after all.
Although I wonder if JVZoo adds extra value because it's affiliate marketing platform?

I have a buddy who uses aMember Pro and absolutely loves it. They do have a built-in autoresponder as well so you can capture emails after a purchase. Also, you can run your own affiliate program through them and also membership sites. After taking a quick look at some of their features, I think they have what you are looking for.

You can see check out all of their available features here:

  • If for you buyers emails are so important then you cannot sell your ebook in Kindle Marketplace like someone above suggests.
You MUST use a digital marketing platform, but you need of an email marketing account (getresponse, aweber, etc.)
I know warriorplus and jvzoo as platform to sell digital products (ebooks, software, etc.) and both automatically insert your buyers emails in your newsletter after they purchase your product.
