In your own perspective, what is more effective in getting sales?. A squeeze page or a blog/ website?.

And what are the pros and cons of a squeeze page and a blog?

I think both can beneficial in their own right.

For straight out building a bigger List Squeeze Page might be best.

But for things such as Article Marketing with Syndication I would have to go with an Optin box on a static page of a Blog. Seems to be higher converting traffic. More quality traffic imho

There are a lot of people who use a hybrid too.

I do in a few businesses I have with Syndication. I put like a large designated area at the top center of a Blog which has an Optin Box and 4 or 5 bulleted sentences with the benefits of the Free Gift or Report being offered (if they sign up.)

Of course a blog needs more maintenance and updating, if you don't have a constant source of interesting content a blog can be far more demanding than using a squeeze page.

The search engines often don't like squeeze pages if you're looking to get organic traffic to go to one.

squeeze page if you're starting out. spend some money for paid traffic and get their opt in. then build your list and market stuff to them.

blog /content writing if you have great content to post and people are likely to share it.

Both are equally effective; though with the squeeze page model you can monetize instantly.

Use a squeeze page to get someone's email.

Direct them to blog posts for really good content.

In other words BOTH are the most effective at getting sales.

Do I need separate domain for directing them in my blog?.

No you don't need separate domains for it. You can put your squeeze page on the same domain as your blog. Just use a plugin to make your squeeze pages
there are some good ones out there. It's just like another page on your blog.

Yeah, a good squeeze page is good for list conversions (getting people to join your list). But you need to direct the traffic to the squeeze page (probably through paid ads like Facebook ads or Adwords).

If you use a blog, you can get more unpaid search traffic because search engines like the continuously updating content of blogs.

Personally, if I`m really interested in a niche I`ll blog about it, but if not then I rely on paid traffic.

It depends on what you're selling. If it is something like your own ebook, then nothing beats a squeeze page. You have the advantage of being able to advertise to one visitor multiple times. Of course, there are caveats to this, such as being able to get a substantial percentage of visitors to sign up for the squeeze page, but by and large it holds true.

Conversely, if you are pitching lawnmowers, then visitors are more likely to recoil from a busy website that is trying to snatch their details. Try putting yourself in your visitor's shoes and imagine what the best pathway to a sale is.
