Updating pictures on wordpress slide

Hi guys I'm designing a site for the first time in a while and I've forgotten how to do a lot.

I'm using wordpress and I have a template with slides that display across the top when you are on the home page.

The problem is when I try to update the pictures they won't display. I enter the url for the picture in both url field and have even substituted the second field entitled " site url" with use http://www.mywebsite.com and it still isn't working.

Any suggestions?

    Well it differs from theme to theme so without disclosing which theme you are using, it is going to be tough to answer your question.
