Launching a brand new site ..how to promote it correctly?

I have a brandnew site that needs promotion, it is not an ''authority'' site, but a service providing one.

There's a blog incorporated and I posted a first article.

I don't want to mess up and trying to find out the most logical and best way to go.

Searching for some tips on the big G just now, but there are so many experts here, I hope you can help a little bit!

    If you only have one post on the site, there isn't much to promote yet.

    I would make sure you have everything in order first:

    optin form and some followup,
    your about us, contact, privacy policy, TOS pages etc...
    Social Media plugins (retweet, like, share etc...)

    Then add some additional posts.

    Once all this is done and you have some good stuff for people to see, worry about promotion.

    i agree with david. once you are ready for traffic, i would look into fb ads. you cant target very specific niches and its pretty cheap compared to ppc or banners.

      Create more value adding content in your blog. Use youtube if possible because it ranks quick on Google.

      Daily blogs makes you relevant and syndicate it to all of social media you have (create them if you dont have). Using backlinking softwares are also good to get your site ranking up safely without penalty. This traffic is more long term.

      Another way to generate traffic is from paid traffic like solo ads, pay per view, pay per click.

      Im not sure what niche you are promoting but it might be hard to find solos on this site if its not make money online or biz opp solos.

      When you get a few hundred of subscribers you can swap ads with a trusted person. Do your due diligence with other swappers.

      Build your list and build relationship and over deliver with value.

    If it is a new launch put it on JVNotifyPro, you can get some good affiliates here. It will allow you to build some releastionship right from the start. It will put out a good notice about the launch.

    Keep doing your research on site/blog marketing online (and even offline). I would invest into some paid advertising on sites in your niches, on Adwords, and Bing Ads... and facebook. What niche is your site in?

    do some keyword targeting with videos, blog comments, bookmarking.

    i think an easier way would be targeting your ideal audience through PPC, send them through a squeeze page, and as your offer page promote your services.
