Landing Page Design Example For Free Giveaway?

Hello,

I am planning to run a free contest outside of IM niche. This contest would be a simple contest that will ask participant to follow an account before they are able to enter the contest section.

What kind of landing page design example you suggest me? I want it to be able to persuade visitors to join and follow.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance..

well you should make the landing page something close to the niche you`re in.. but because you don`t give me any info, I can only advise you to get a contest/competition/first place kind of landing page

I also think you should be careful about "contest". There are some rules around how that works that you might want to look up.

I'm not a lawyer, but have been on many live webinars where the host made specific references to this FCC (I believe) rule.

I think that the question is leaving out too much info. What works for the beauty niche does not for the dog niche. Sure there are some basic principles to follow, but each niche has its own type of comp you could run on a lander.

Also I agree With Gordon. Get some legal advice when it comes to a contest.

    Hmmm...

To be honest, if it were me, I might do this a little bit differently. I think as far as squeeze pages go, most people are really conditioned to expect some type of free "bribe" basically for the opt-in. Unless the contest has a really great prize, I think the opt-in rate could be low. Of course tons of CPA offers work with the contest entry theme but these have really good prizes as the bribe for the email (eg, a new iPhone, a $500 gift card, etc.).

So, if I were to do this, I would probably not build a squeeze page. Instead, I would do this on Facebook. I would create a fan page (in the niche that you are interested in), fill it with some content and get traffic. After this is done, that's when I would set up the contest or sweepstakes.

Is this more work? Probably, but I have seen several people get really good results with this technique. Anyway, just my 2 cents for what its worth.

I don't think there is a specific design you need to run the contest. Just keep it clean and clearly point out the reason the visitor should optin. A few bullet points and/or short video should do it.

Using Promo codes and contests have worked well for one of my clients selling clothing products. We setup a few contests/giveaways and built a nice list for them over the past 2 years.
