How Much Do You Make from Freebie List?

Just wondering what are your experiences with freebie list. How much can you expect to make from each subscriber per month?

A very good chunk 'o change because of being able to sell solos at a premium price

(that's without offering a freebie, though)

However this is also greatly dependent on the niche.

Thanks. What is the open rate and click rate that I can expect to get?

Depends on the type of 'freebie' list you mean.

If you're talking one built via sending cold traffic to an even colder squeeze page where people are bribed with a freebie to opt in then you can expect to make very little

The reason iss there's no relationship, no trust, they've no idea who you are and don't likely care and just wanted the freebie and very rarely your follow up emails so they remain unopened for the most part and often gets marked as spam or unsubscribed to.

If you mean a freebie list built round a blog with great content where people opted in to receive more great content and you mix in the occasional offer then you can potentially (too many variables to say for sure) make great money. Or if you do it wrong you can still make money.

Too many variables again to give a definitive answer but you can expect it to be woefully low if using the squeeze page / bribe method. Under 10% open rates and click rates that will make you cry.

Thanks for the reply. Very interesting. How about free WSO, any experience with that?

If you're going to promote affiliate offers to the freebie list, probably 5-10 times less than what you'd do doing the same with a buyers list.
Freebie lists are great for ad swaps and selling solo ads though - that is after you tried to sell them your own product or a plr and convert them to buyers for a certain time.

Yeah I've ran free WSO's. You can build a big list but it's worth a small fraction of a buyers list.

Even selling a $1 WSO is better a at least you know the people are capable of buying something and do take action.
