Warriors,

Just wondering, what kinds of videos do you use to promote things like...
- Your own product
- An affiliate offer
- A CPA offer

By "Kinds of videos" I mean, are they...
- A Real live person on camera?
- A Simple sales (white on black) presentation?
- A slideshow?
- A powerpoint presentation?
- Screen recording?

Hope for some interesting responses

  • I am Slideshow man
    Easy job
  • For promoting I like slideshows.

I use camtasia for the actual video and libre(free) for the presentations.

Lately I've been recording the audio separately using Audacity. I will write a script first then practice it a few times before recording. I like to edit the audio way down to, to get rid of long pauses, "umm's" etc...
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • As a viewer i tend to watch videos of real persons in front of cameras.
  • As a general rule I go with the simple sales presentation. HOWEVER, I test the bejeezus out of it too.

In other words I will test out the same content, but with multiple types of simple black on white presentations (changing graphics, that sort of thing). I can push these out pretty fast which allows me to fine tune the overall message. Then I'll test the winner from that test out with a more complex slideshow style. Then I'll test the winner of that against a "Prezi" style (you know, the rollercoaster looking thing). The I'll test the winner of that against an "animated doodle".

That's at least the simple version of how I do it anyway.

And for the record, about 70 to 80% of the time the simple presentation is the one that converts the best!

    • I do all of the above!

Video content is King because right away it shows you as an authority to your audience.

Just like watchin your favourite actors on film.

I diversify the type of videos I create.

From Tutorials screencap, slides, face time, webinar, trip videos and motivational vids.

I do focus more on tutorials about making money online because I want to be acknowledged by Google and my audience as the source of making money online while the rest of the vids will supplement my main target niche.

I capitalize my lifestyle and share my stories in my videos and syndicate them on my blog and social media as well.
  • I like slideshows and screen recordings - not hard, can really get a message across, and lends legitimacy because with screen recordings you're showing something you're actually doing.

    • A real live person on camera.

It's pretty easy to get an idea if they are truly being genuine with you.

Facial expressions, tonality, body language, etc...

And they can't exactly hide behind, well, a computer

  • I Like Just a screen video really simple with a mini powerpoint presentation
  • I like going down the animated video route and have used Wideo a lot recently, basically because I found their platform the easiest to master. Anyone else used these guys?
  • Intelligent, and gets to the point quick. The style doesn't matter if it meets those objectives.
  • I shoot a lot of video and I can tell you what my clients ask for. By far they want a person on camera. The main reason is to build trust and a relationship and that is done best through a personality.
  • People usually use screencast omatic that shows the video of what your doing on the computer but can here your voice. That is certainly my favorite.
  • i use camtasia, the little screen of your self in the corner is a nice touch I think. Looking at a screen with no human face is a bit of a turn off I think. I also try and keep my videos really short these days.
  • Use combination of these.

    - Screen recording?
    - A slideshow?
  • I prefer live person on the camera. It works very well.

    • I like VSLs (as long as I know how long they are) If they are too long I won't watch.

For promotional videos for other businesses I like white board and animations. Clients love them and they look like they cost a lot to create.
