You will find most successful (there ARE impostors) people on this forum use youtube in some way or another. Here are some tips I posted a couple months ago:

    YouTube is very powerful.

The secret is to use the right keywords in the video title - you need to think outside of the box.

    Hi

Firstly welcome to the warrior forum - Youtube is definitely a very useful and powerful site as you upload videos to it, you have the options to embed them on your sales page, squeeze page or to simply drive traffic to your site and even promote them too.

Like many have said, the title of your YouTube video is very important, and the description part i.e the information part next to the video is also very important- ideally most users recommend puttinga website link as the first line.

Additionally, if you know how to use YouTube effectively and harness it's full potential as a video marketing site/resource/tool and method of marketing, then it becomes a major advantage.

    Best Wishes

Here is a tip as well. If your video has a sound track - background music etc - use a famous song or singer if you can and include the track in the title or at least description. There are millions of people looking for songs and artists on YouTube, so give them what they want.

The traffic from that element of the title may not be very targeted, but many niches are quite generic - weight loss for example - and with a big following, and you will still pick up a good number on your site.

Keep in mind that Google own YouTube and YouTube vids have a very high priority in the SERPS.

The video needs to be well constructed to hold the viewer, and don't make it too long.
