Project Morpheus/Niche/Review - Question

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, but I've heard much about it and I look forward to joining the community. I hope someone can give some advice or an opinion about my question.

So...about 5-7 days ago Sony announced the beta development of their new virtual reality headset "Project Morpheus". I've been really interested in the development of their new technology and its competitor the "Oculus Rift". So, I decided to purchase three potential domains for the sake of creating a review site and possibly bring in some passive income. However, it has come to my attention that purchasing domains with trademark names in them can be considered illegal, and what is also called "cybersquatting".

I'll admit the domain names I got are very good and guaranteed to get major traffic, especially as their product grows if my site is developed correctly. But, it is not my intention to merely squat on these domains as a way to get a possible buyout or lawsuit from Sony.

I intend on creating a review site for the Project Morpheus.

Has anyone had any experience with Sony and lawsuits? Do you think they would be pursue a lawsuit for having the name "project morpheus" in my domain? Should I just change my domain?

Why don't you ask Mr Google:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=Sony+and+lawsuits
    and scare yourself a little.

I would not touch that name with a 20 foot pole...

Why don't you create a review site with "virtual reality headsets" and review in them.

Most likely you will avoid any possible lawsuits and also you can write reviews for competing products. If there are no competitors, there is no market.

I hope that you didn't use the term "Morpheus" in any of your domain names because it's very possible that the final product won't be called Morpheus.

Many companies frequently use code/project names for the very reason to prevent people from doing what your doing. Only they know what the final product will actually be called and will create all the necessary websites and social media profiles before the name is officially released.

Ex. PS4 was referenced as Orbis and Xbox One was referenced as Durango while both were in development

*I also watched a interview yesterday with the head of Sony saying that it will probably be about 2 years or even more before it's released, so be prepared to wait a while yet.
