How to Organize Downloads?

Feeling like a drowning digital pack rat

Hard drive is getting full of WSOs, themes, install files, etc...and I would like to both organize and delete much of what is in my downloads folder, just not sure what can be deleted and how to organize the keepers and where to put all of this stuff?

I have an extra external hard drive that I will be moving much of the keep file to, but what can be deleted out of, for instance; the applications, install files, etc...??
If it's something not commonly used should the unzipped files be deleted and just the zip files be kept to conserve space?

I think I have bought things I don't need because I am so disorganized I can't find what I've already got or don't remember buying it in the first place!

I would love to know how someone that considers themselves organized (which I do not consider myself to be ) does it???

Thanks in advance -

Create sub-directories in your Download folder.

    ie,

    FB
    Twitter
    Social Media
    List Building
    etc.etc.etc.

and then save your downloads accordingly. Hope that helps!

Oh wow! you have that many products downloaded that this is an issue? How many WSOs have been successful for you. Sounds like you may be moving from one to another without giving each a fair shake.

I have one folder for all of my downloads then just have different folders within it:

      Examples:

      Email Marketing
      Plugins
      Themes
      Facebook
      List Building
      Etc

Makes it easier to find them

Create folders, then it turns out like a mindmap,
anything extra you won't use soon can go
into the external disk you have.
