Do your traffic methods change depending upon what niche you're in and what products you're selling or promoting? Or do you always use the same methods regardless?

What if you were selling or promoting physical products instead of digital products - would you use the same traffic methods?

  • In most cases I use the same method; Good rankings and SEO. This works with all markets but I will tweak it sometimes depending on the site to try and get as targeted traffic as possible so it converts well.

    • I basically have only one primary traffic generation method for the initial direct engagement of targeted prospects in all of my niches, but the marketing process itself does change over time as business relationships evolve into increasingly more personal interactions and the product mix increases in complexity.
  • Well the system I don't think changes but where you get the traffic from will probably change.
  • Yes, traffic sources can be universal... regardless of what type of products you're promoting (digital, physical, etc.).

No need to change it up and seek out other traffic sources, unless you're ready to scale up and test out new sources... if one source is working for you, SCALE.
  • in whatever niche you are working, do not forget to build a list.

List Building is a very targeted, personal & instant way to bring quality traffic
  • sometimes, but media buying and PPC work pretty well for all our niche, as long as one is building a list. That is key.

Waking up each day and thinking how can I get more leads today, and how can i get those leads to buy today.

if you can do this, you will win, no matter the traffic. Traffic comes down to testing and tracking continuously.

Nurkholis Hidayat, above hit the money on the head. Once you start list building and doing it properly, a whole new world will open up, and hey presto you are starting to make money! Viola! :-)))))))

  • Definitely dependent on your niche. First step in your research is to see what the people/companies making bank are doing. Are they doing PPC/Organic/etc.
If it is organic check out their links on ahref or majestic.
PPC, see what keywords they are using(I am sure there is a tool for this but I typically stay away from PPC for my niches)
There are of course the basics that every site should have for traffic to make it look natural. (Social outreach, citations, etc.)
Before starting to promote spend some quality time on your research, it goes a long way.
  • Yes of course some traffic methods are suited better for different niches
