How do I add Banners to Wordpress?

Hello Everyone,

I have Wordpress 2.7

How do I add Banners on the side bars with my clickbank ID.

Please be detailed I'm trying to learn Wordpress

    I add my banners by copying the HTML code for the banner and pasting it into a widget.

    Copy your code.

    Go to the Widgets menu, which you'll find by clicking on the Appearance tab on your WP Dashboard.

    Once in Widgets you then drag and drop a TEXT or HTML widget into the CURRENT WIDGETS section on the right of your screen.

    When the TEXT widget is there, click EDIT.

    You then copy your banner code into the widget - don't forget to add your CB ID to the appropriate part of the code and then click SAVE.

    When you refresh your site page, the banner should be right there in the sidebar.

      Hi Jimmy - go with what Jenni said but......

      once you drag and drop your 'text' widget into the widgetbare - click save and then go about adding your html.

      and yes - this is the same for text ads too!

      some themes also have different widgets - so you will have to look at yours (my theme has 5 widget areas! top, bottom, sidebar, main and header)

      I say just have a play with it!
      you can always delete the widget and do it again if you dont like how it looks - thats the best way to learn by actually doing it!

      as Jenni said - make sure you put your clickbank ID into all hoplinks (unless you created it at clickbank and did it automatically in which case it is done - to know just look at the url - does it have your id?)

    Download "Advertising Manager" plugin in on wordpress.org, It is great for adding clickbank, cj, adsense, and all that fun stuff. This will make the whole process even easier.

      Chest Coach - Lose Your Man Boobs

      I want the fourth banner down, how do I get the code for that banner?

      When I paste the code in a text widget for wordpress, where do I out my clickbank ID?

        Hi

        That's a little bit more involved if the Vendor has given you no code. What you have to do is to upload the image and then make your own code.

        Scroll down until you come to "How can I make a clickable icon, button, picture or banner?"

        Make sure that you change the URL in the example to the appropriate addresses.

    I simply edit the sidebar, and use HTML to put my banners in. As a matter of fact I normally customize all of my sidebars... I rarely use the widgets.

    Be careful what you put on there. Wordpress doesn't like affiliate marketing. I've had a couple accounts get banned.

    I personally use the max banner ads WP plugin. You can get it for free at:

    Max Banner Ads (Not an affiliate Link).

    FYI... the free version is branded with a "Powered by Max Banner Ads" link under your banner.

      I really appreciate everyone's help

      I figured out how to put banner in my sidebar 2

      There is the blogroll and archives in sidebar 2, when I put the banner there the blogroll and archives disappears.

      How do I put the banner UNDER the blogroll and archives.
