With an objective to create back links to my site/posts, I want to get in to guest postings in the high ranking blogs relating to my site's niche.

How can I find out the high pr blogs relating to my site. One is to google & find out. Is there any other effective way?

Search for blogger groups on FB related to your niche.Join them and post your request to write a guest post with backlinks.

    Highly effective.

Alexa.com and place your "niche" name in the search box

Think about where YOU go to get news/analysis in your niche. You probably have a few go-to websites where you keep tabs on things, so start by seeing if any of them accept guest posts. Then, you can expand from there by Googling "sites like (name of authoritative website you've already found".

You can also Google the names of some of your top competitors and see where they're publishing guest posts.

Frankly, I would not worry about doing Guest Postings for Backlinking purposes but do it for the objective of getting direct traffic to your Site.

Better yet get your Post syndicated amongst a slew of outlets and leverage your exposure with that one Article.

That is the efficient way to do it.

    Discrat is DEAD ON.

Guest posting should NOT be an SEO strategy, but a TRAFFIC GENERATION strategy. If it also helps with SEO then that's cool, but that shouldn't be the focus at all.

Instead create some really good content that makes visitors to the site you're guest blogging on want to check you out. I promise that will work out much better for you.

Guest posting is a game that requires some patience but it`s still very important for getting quality backlinks from related website naturally and your primary role here is trying to contact as many as possible webmasters and website owners to post your article in their blogs. This usually takes a while and you may face some frustrated but the easiest way to find guest posting is search for terms like " your niche "+ " gust post" or "your niche" +"i accept guest posts"

There've already been some solid suggestions on finding quality blogs relevant to your niche. Here's yet another:
Rather than search your niche, search a popular product in your niche (or even product category). Play with it - enter just the product, then the product '+review'. Eventually you're going to come across some blogs that are directly related to your niche. And review blogs when done right are fantastic sources to post on.

Guest posting is about getting targeted traffic as well as raising authority. If you are accepted as an author on an authority page then this means that you must have something valid to say. This certainly helps raising trust with your readers.

However, proper guest posting may become very time-consuming as busy websites look for regular contributors not just one-offs.

In my opinion, guest posting just for the sake of getting backlinks is certainly not a worthwhile objective.

If you've watch Matt Cutts blog you'll see a number of videos where he explains that Google is now frowing on the strategy of 'guest posting', because since it has become so popular, the spammers have now come along and crueled it for legitimate ethical content marketers who try to do it the right way.

You're much better off searching out content syndication partners.

That is a much more effective and legitimate long term traffic generation strategy.

      And it's totally Google friendly.

A good but to most unknown way is to have a look at ad networks like buyads.com. You can search for high traffic blogs in different niches in there. Also use Blog Aggregators like Technorati for your search!
