I am a newbie. I'm starting up a business on ClickBank. Having direct input from someone who's been there, and done it would really help. I have little money. Is it possible to find a mentor gratis!! Thanks. Jackie

  • Find a high converting product on click bank. Get your affiliate link. Cloak it with http://bit.ly

Find groups on facebook that is in the same niche. write quality content and post that link at the end of the post. Do this for a couple hours a day.

Next day do the same thing but do it on reddit: the front page of the internet

find sub reddits related to your niche. post a good article and leave your bit.ly at the end.

Find forums that is relevant to your niche. Put your bit.ly link in a forum signature with a strong call to action phrase. example if its weight loss. "Click here to learn the secret to burning fat quickly!" you get the idea..

Do this all day for a week.

Now send me 10% of what you earn.

    Thanks

I am pretty new to Reddit...they allow you to add links to your posts?

I would like to add a link to my squeeze page but do not want it to be considered spam...Is this okay?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post. A couple of you thought expecting someone to give their services for free was too much. I think this post (pasted below) from Karlmay1980 sums up why a mentor is necessary. Plus I have found some old posts where some mentors were offering their services for free. It's about giving back and when I am successful I will also give back. I will find a mentor. Jackie

Re: How to get a mentor Your right, a mentor of quality is not going to do it for free, but doing it on your own is going to take a lot of work, I should know I tried and even spending thousands on products didn't bring me success for a long time.

I eventually lost my house because of it.

Mentors help you answer questions quickly through their experience, often knowing and realising what you are struggling with even before you ask, one reason they are worth the money if you ask me.

Coming up with the questions yourself can find you the wrong answers, as your asking the wrong questions, focusing on the wrong things, this is going to prolong the time it takes to succeed and also test your commitment and determination many times over.

If I was a newbie today I wouldn't be asking whether I can afford a mentor, but how can I afford not to have one and how can I get the money to get one.

One thing I learnt is time is worth more than money, but many newbies are willing to give time for nothing, when paying money can save the time if you spend it in the right areas and a mentor is one that you should.

Even millionaires and billionaires pay mentors to keep growing, as they know they will get far more back in return on their investment and much faster results.

Think of it this way, you want to build a business to $10k per month, with a mentor you might reach that within 3-4 months, with other investments too, but on your own and without investing money that could take you 12 months or even more, maybe even years, even working long 10 hour plus days.

You will have all the frustrations and obstacles that 97% of online marketers and business owners have which end in failure.

An investment of a few thousand in a mentor and maybe $1,000 in development could be earning you the $10k every month where on your own you are making nothing or very little.

This means you're living the life you are now, the one you want to change for the better which is the reason you're looking to build a business in the first place, where as with the mentor you could be living the life you dream of and of eant many times over the initial cost of the mentor!

          Hi Jackie,

I think you are right in your points ^

You can find plenty of Clickbank mentors around here - however my advice would be to search around and gather as much information and be very specific on what you need.

For instance, do you want to be a product owner or make money as an affiliate for Clickbank?

Another thing worth thinking about is that Clickbank is JUST a payment processor with a HUGE affiliate base.

It is the affiliate base that makes Clickbank attractive but you need to know how to market your product to them and get conversions.

I would start with a good product creation course and give it 100% and then see if you need a mentor.

Again, I think you are right but these threads normally end up with people trying to sell you their services.

How many PM's have you received since you wrote this thread? :p

I have worked with Clickbank for a long time - have built over 50 products and done well as an affiliate.

A lot of the successes have been trial and error but what I always ask my clients straight away is this:

"What have you done thus far?"

Again, not knocking it - just saying be careful!

          Wishing you the best,

          Chris Jones

I know a few of them, and NONE of have paid any mentors for advice, EVER.

Their lawyers, doctors, accountants and employees not included.

Clickbank aside, I disagree with this.

What about Tony Robbins going to Jim Rohn seminars, Frank Kern, Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor who ALL admit to being seminar junkies - which of course they would have paid for to learn the skills so they can run their own...

Look at any top athlete and see if they have a coach.

The problem is NOT paying for mentors, advice, coaching etc...

The problem is - you need to make sure you KNOW what you want FIRST and who BEST to help you.

So yes, the mentor has to be good but ALL of it is down to the individual and if the mentor helps communicate that and show them how to do it then it is money well spent in my opinion.

P.S Bill Clinton hired the help of Robbins at one point plus numerous celebrities and sports stars, as long as the mentor is what you NEED and GOOD you can never stop improving...

In the internet marketing or make money online field, those gatherings of like minded individuals are called a circle jerk. nothing but cross promoting, or joint ventures going on there.

True, there will also been an element of that.

OK, I will use myself as an example - I admit when I started I did not have a mentor but since then have used all of the above apart from Bill Clinton and it has helped me set up a LTD company and work online for 10+ years.

Also, the sports coach example holds true - look at a top athlete - sure they can train themselves but sometimes it helps to be held accountable or "pushed" - this is no different.

The truth is - it is ALL subjective as everyone will have different experiences and perceptions.

Each to their own and I respect your opinion - saying that ALL mentors will not help you is a wide sweep though.

Wishing you the best with your business,

Ask yourself why you will help someone make money with nothing in return? Stop asking for mentors, is not gonna happen. It only happen on investment because there is something to be gain.

Nothing is this world comes for free. You want some serious good mentor then U need to spend money for it & if by any chance you can't then Google or the search function on WF is your best friend.

Learn other skills such as SEO, list building (email marketing), funnel development (often email marketing), or PPC/PPV first...

Then you can worry about where your product comes from. Really, it doesn't matter if a product is sold on Clickbank, Linkshare, CJ, etc... What matters is that you can develop and execute a marketing plan and that the product itself converts well or has an adequate EPC from the traffic source you are using & the strategy you've implemented.

Long story short - you're focused on the wrong thing.
