How to attract people to a promotion?

Right now my website has a promotion of 50% off business listings in our directory. Ive called a bunch of people but when they sign up its not in that time span of 7 days which is how long I have the promotion going for.
How can I urge future customers to rush and purchase the business listing before time runs out?
I currently cold call and redirect that to an email. so what should I say over the phone to attract them? what should I say in an email?

  • Have you heard about offer expiration? Offer valid only until xxxxxx.
  • Yes I say that the promotion ends in the next 7 days, but when the customer pulls through I dont want to lose their business... should I stiff-arm them?

    • 7 days are not exact. You need to use the current date and have an expiration date.

      Is not the same to expire on 7 days that to say hurry offer experiences on X day at X time. That alone creates a sense of urgency.
  • is the 7 day limit your own decision, or is it a limitation of the place you are getting leads for?


    what about after the cold call, you send them to a site with more information pre-selling them even further on the product before they are sent to the sales page.
  • 7 days is my decision, and I already do send them to a pre-sign up page explaining the benefits.
