Is there money to be made in E-Books?

I'm moving into internet marketing and want to specialise in e-books. Is there money to be made in the e-books market or is it saturated. Is there a learning website for beginners on how to publish e-books! Thanks. Jonny

Of course there's money to be made but first you have to decide what kind of eBooks are you thinking about... Kindle eBooks? Online courses?
You can find many different courses on the topic here in the Warrior Special Offers section.
    Good luck

There is no such thing as a "saturated" market. Such a thing doesn't exist. There are markets that are more competitive than others, but saturation is impossible.

New people enter and leave the market every day. If you have good marketing then you can capture some percentage of the new people coming in along with some people already in that market.

    Hope this helps.

There is a lot of money to be made in ebook, you just have to be better than everyone else. Not just with a good product, but with marketing those books to success.

I wrote my first ebook in May 2014 about horse racing betting and created a system around the subject. I got it reviewed by three main horse racing blogs and they all passed their 30 and 60 day tests. What happened next was superb and I made about £2k in six weeks and that was giving away 60% in affiliate commissions, so the answer to your question is a definite YES

The mistake I initially made was in using Clickbank. I don't like them for two reasons, firstly their 60 day no quibble refund and the none existent customer service. If you want to use a decent payment gateway then, go for paydotcom. You have full control over enquiries and refunds and you only pay a 6% fee of any sales which you pay to them manually.

Oh no. There is NO money to be made in E-books. It is an archaic way to make money in these days and times.

How could you even think that ??

I was reading somewhere that a person was trying to make money selling newspapers.

Newspapers ?? Are you kidding me those things went out years ago.

How could anyone think they could make money with newspapers ?

Again another item that is archaic ( As I put on my best sarcastic smile )

Seriously though. yes E-books that are of great quality and offer good value will be relevant for the foreseeable future and make money.

It will be a long time before the 'written text' (books, E-books, periodicals etc..) will be totally irrelevant !

Trying thinking about it this way...

        1. Identify a pressing problem or frustration people have (lose belly fat, train their aggressive dog, get their teenager to listen to them, find a date, etc...)

        2. Put together a set of steps that would help someone move from where they are today to where they would ideally like to be. This is your initial draft system

        3. Refine that system through testing (one some early beta customers) and by researching (looking at what else is out there that can help you add to, eliminate or tweak your steps

        4. Hold an "official" beta where you seek to get your system into the hands of 20-30 target people - objective is to do final tweaking, get some early champions/testimonials and perhaps some early partners that can help you promote at launch

        5. Seek out additional partners - ready your pre-launch material (sales funnel, pre-launch content, partners, contests and partner support)

        6. Launch...

        7. Optionally - have an upsell planned out where they can buy the ebook "basic" package or you can upsell them to "Gold" package where they also get access to membership site, weekly group coaching calls, a few hours of personal coaching, etc...

We use this series of steps over and over across our niches to launch ebooks and other information products

Besides being focused on creating your ebooks...

What are you going to specialize in?

For example, do you want to create WSO's here on the forum?

Do you want to create ebooks hosted on your own domain?

Do you eventually want affiliates to promote them?

Who are your ebooks going to be targeted to helping...

The grizzled veteran or the new-comer needing help making their first sale?

These are all questions to keep in mind.

Once you know the answers to those (and many other questions)...

Finding the appropriate info to help you get your feet wet should be a breeze

Absolutely there is money to be made in eBooks. I remember though back when I got into this whole world I was under the impression that I was going to be able to buy a bunch of eBooks with resell rights, package them together, and make money that way. I was wrong.

People pay quality not quantity. In every eBook or information product I have ever created I always make sure that somehow I profit on the back end one way or another. This way I can sell it or give it away for free and still profit. This will also make sure that you can profit from others giving away your work to others for free.

As far as publishing goes this is quite simple. Simply type your ebook up on a word document. Then when you save it save it as a pdf file. Then it's a matter of creating a sales page letting people know what they get from your new work.

Of course, we sell many each day...couple of tips:

    1. Think of yourself as trainer who packages their training into information products (ebooks being one example) for scale and leveraged benefit. Taking this view, e-books are only one possible distribution format, could also be videos, teleseminars, reports, etc...

    2. Helping people solve major challenges in their lives (what the top selling non-fiction e-books do) can never be "saturated" - as these challenges, desires and new ones emerge there is an endless opportunity here. That said, you do have to pick the right topics, deliver the right value statement and information and market it well evolving as your market evolves

Tons to be made in this market. It is literally just getting to a 'tipping point' Think about it in terms of generations. Baby boomers are reading ebooks on tablets. Older generation? Not as much. Upcoming generations? Everything's being read on a tablet or phone. It is the way of the future, but the tech is already here.

Don't think there's money in it? Saturated? Look at how many COURSES there are on how to get rich with ebooks. Yup, possibilities are endless.

Like most parts of online selling your e-book has to find it's Niche. While I know an e-book can make money on it's own, I feel one of the big advantages with an e-book is to give away good relevant information to build your list. The goal of which is to gain a sense of trust and start relationship building with potential future paying clients.

Humans are driven to seek out and learn new information. It's one of the strongest motivators that we have.

Since ebooks are information they are inherently a great way to earn money.

Ebooks are as good or bad as their content. Of course you can make (serious) money with them. They are just another medium for selling information. But in any medium it's ultimately about how well you can meet your customers' (readers') needs.

I am having trouble selling Ebooks but I also have traffic issues which I need to work on. But, I believe ebooks are very valuable and there is a market for them. Quality ebooks get right to the point in 50 pages or less. I read an ebook today that got me going on a few new awesome marketing methods that would have take me months to figure out. A $17 book probably saved me hours of time and frustration along with new ways to boost my sales. A good Ebook should have more useful in-depth content then a blog post but a lot less fluff than a Kindle book of 200 pages.

Even before you write your first E-Book, start thinking of how it fits in a sales funnel and what related products you can upsell. Keep all the products related to the concepts in the E-Book, so you don't lose buyers as they move through the funnel. Remember your book is your products and your products are your books. OK, good luck, Edward Smith.

Yes there is money to be made, some important questions to ask first though are.

    1. Who is it for?
    2. How will it help them?
    3. Do they actually want what I am going to offer?

Focus on your target market first and what are their pain points. Mindmap your ideal customer, their problems, what your solution could be.

Put the time in at the planning stage and save a whole heap of time in perhaps writing something that nobody wants.

    Hope this helps,
    Good luck

There is madd money to be made with ebooks. Something to keep in mind is, it's not what you do...it's how you do it. People will buy what you have if the marketing is solid, and the information is valuable. It's up to you if your ebook will be successful.

Doing proper market and keyword research will get you halfway to success. From there, choose a marketing method to master and promote your ebook via those means. You can also list your ebook with an affiliate network, and the affiliate will do most of the promoting for you.

There's lots of information around that will guide you from idea to profit. Just do some searches here in the forum or in your favorite search engine.

The money isn't in the ebook, it is in the niche the ebook targets and their passion index. The more people are interested in the subject your ebook covers the greater the chance of making money selling ebooks to that target audience.

Also there are markets that have a high passion index but they don't have the money to pay for info products or won't pay for them because all the best information is already available free of charge.

Besides the niche you also have to think about the selling system you will use to get customers and how you are going to maximize the lifetime customer value. Once you pick a niche and you test it, write lots of ebooks in that field that you can offer on the back-end.

You can make a ton of money doing anything you want - you just have to be good at it.

"Ebooks " don't sell - it's the information that sells and demand to supply ratio dictates profits as always.

Having said that there's a huge market there for information products. So, yes, you WILL make good money.

    Hello,

I would not say that the "eBook market is saturated". You just need to do things a little bit differently, and package your content in a new, and unique way.

Again - it all comes down to what you include in your eBook.

Many people seem to be making decent money off fiction, and the beauty of this is that fiction ebooks fulfill a need that can never be saturated. When someone buys a non-fiction guide book on topic X, they are looking for a certain information, and when they find a book that provides that information, that's it. With fiction, however, a reader who is a fan of a certain genre will always want more. (Also, you don't have to be a fiction writer to be selling fiction ebooks, by the way, they can be outsourced just like anything else.)

EVERY Market is now "saturated", does that stop you from taking the lead in it? NO!

I have found that the hardest part of ebooks and the biggest hurdle to making money from them, is producing high quality works in a time-frame that brings profit.
