Webinar Replay = Sales?

I want to set up a campaign as goes:

Facebook Traffic> Landing Page> Webinar replay (content & sales pitch at the end)

My Main problem I think is the fact that the webinar is NOT LIVE.

People will catch on fast that it is a replay but will that stop them from being fully engaged and listening to all the content and still purchasing the product at the end of the webinar?

opinions? Suggestions? Experiences?

PS- I am aware you could collect the email addresses and send them to the webinar through a list, that is not what I want to do, I am really just thinking about this from a straight forward fast money making tactic.

    Honestly....having made literally millions from webinars...the replays make twice the money then the live events. Reason...people watch them when they have time. You cant fool people you are right...but it sure works well

    But this is only my experience.

      I agree, I know of one BIG Hitter who has 4-5 of these a day.

      In fact a good webinar program can't be live, as you need to cater for different time zones.

      It takes a bit of setting up but the results are good.

    This is good when you have this because within the webinar it is all explained all in one place and I agree with what you are saying it does really need to be live it would be better because you will have all the interaction when it is live for example comments

    Let them know it's a Replay..
    but put in a 'scarcity' spin in your copy.
    ( ie: Taking Down In 24 Hrs )

    Hey guys, I feel like I'm on a pipe dream here. I feel like this is way to easy than it should be, and it probably is so please bring me back to reality cause I must be missing something.

    Here is a scenario:

    Facebook traffic> Landing Page w/ small sales copy and button for them to click to immediately be re-directed to Webinar Replay (not live)> Webinar

    -Facebook Traffic= 100 visitors @ $1 a visitor
    -Landing Page has a CTR of 50%
    -Webinar= 10% conversion @ $97 product.

    100 visitors are driven to landing page> 50 go through to webinar > 5 people purchase the product (10% conversion) @ $97

    Revenue= $485
    Cost= $100

    Profit= $385

    So, again, I must be missing something obvious here because I really don't believe that those results are real because it seems too easy.

    Feel free to bring me back down from my pipe dream and hit me with some reality, thanks.

        A while back ago I was hosting webinars on a particular topic. I gave people 2 options
        1.) watch the pre-recorded version
        2.) attend the live version

        I then had a schedule to tune in live.
        When people showed up for the live version I would show the pre recorded version as a video in the conference room and the people attending had no idea it wasn't live.

        At the start of it I would say something like "okay im going to get through this as quickly as possible then at the end ill open it up for questions"

        After the 45 min recording ended I would simply be there for live q&a.

        Say the webinar was scheduled at 3pm. Id log in at 3 press play on the video. Then at 3:45 would come back to my pc to do the q&a. So it was live and not really live at the same time.

        For the pre-recorded version I have a support forum for people to post their questions.

        Thanks for your response. I just figured that the CTR would be the same for any other Landing page. I heard CTR for landing pages can go as high as 50% for a pretty good one with decent copy.

        As for the 10 of 100 people sitting through it to the end. They have the option to pause it and watch at their own time. I feel like 10% of people watching it to the sales pitch is a very low #. then again I wouldn't know.
