Joint Venture With Writers For a Blog? Possible?

We all want content for out niche sites/blog... What would be a fair offer to JV with a writer or writers. What could we offer in exchange for free content? Would this even be possible?

That's what I think as well, and I guess in exchange for a link would just be a guest post. But there must be some kind of value a blog owner could offer for a jv relationship...

You could make a deal where they post say 1/2 the article on your blog and then you give them a link back to their blog for the rest of the article... I've seen that done before.

    You get content
    They get a link

It is possible because many writers don't want to deal with website design, sales pages or link building. Some sort of revenue sharing deal probably could be arranged. The problem would be convincing them that the website would rank and make money.

Writers would want either exposure if your blog has a lot of traffic, or money.

Most bloggers find themselves in that awkward place where their blogs aren't large traffic generators and therefore aren't that attractive to writers, but they also don't want to spend money for writers to write on their blog.

And the knack is to break through that barrier and either find ways of generating traffic or pay writers that have a following and will DRIVE traffic to the site.

If you're fairly familiar with search engine optimization and internet marketing You may be able to offer a 50/50 venture to promote the website while the writer creates the content.

Alternatively you may try to make it creative to offer it as an opportunity for guest blogging exposure with different writers although you would likely require a fairly authoritative site to do so.

I'm sure a writer would post to his own blog although I think OP is referring to a joint venture project; the individual may not be able to achieve the same visibility

Sure it happens. It's a good way to do things. You pay the writers. They write the content. They in turn promote it to their social media audiences / lists / on their sites and you get a lot of traffic and authority.

Ryan Deiss does it with his $6 million authority blog SurvivalLife - he pays writers in the niche to write for his site.

    He wrote about it here....

I would consider something like this, but the site owner would have to be able to show they knew what they were doing. I've gotten lots of contacts over the years with offers in sharing profits that don't yet exist in exchange for my blogging skills, and more often than not, these people are newbies who don't know what they're doing yet.

Truth is that most accomplished online businesspeople will be able to make enough that they'd rather pay writers and keep the profits for themselves.
