Forums/community's are great places for your purpose.
Social media works too, use this tool Followerwonk: Twitter analytics, follower segmentation, social graph tracking, & more, to search twitter bios and contact/connect with your prospects!

Make sure you add your signature in your profile. This is simply a brief description of your business and can include a link to your website. It's not there to be promoted, but allows users who find your answers helpful and useful to find out more about you. I also find solo ads to be the best source of traffic for me.

Set up a blog and share tips and how-to tutorials. Target keyword phrases in your blog post titles and start building a social media presence.

And like a few other Warriors have suggested, niche related communities are a great way to become known and increase exposure.

I wouldn't go down the paid advertising route, unless you are profiting from your business. Until then there's lots of free traffic methods you can use to gain momentum and build a readership.

    Hope that helps!

You can run your business on a shoestring for now.

What you need to do is find out the top places where your customers hang out--online and offline.

Interact with them naturally and segue into what you do or recommend your services to those that need them.

    Hey there,

    You can get clients from:

    Offline:

    1. Go to events for photographers
    2. make cold calls and meet them

    Online:

    1. Create valuable comments in different photography blogs
    2. Create valuable content in your blog and promote it via SEO or Social Media
    3. Post valuable content in photography forums
    4. Join Facebook Photography Groups
    5. Create valuable Ebooks for Photographers then create an email list. send them valuable newsletter content so that you'll be an authority in your niche
    6. Buy ad space from different photography blogs and forums then direct them to your squeeze page or website

Hope this helps! Always remember to provide value and the money will follow

Since you are done setting up your website, direct potential customers to it through the social media. On twitter/facebook, search for photography enthusiasts, sometimes tell them that you offer photography services, sometimes just engage naturally. If you advertise every time, people might get annoyed.

      divello,

Classic problem of getting the cart before the horse.

Your business should have been started with niche research and a marketing plan to identify who are the perfect prospects for what you're going to offer and where they can be found.

When you start with the customers and his/her needs, it focuses your business on who, how, and where you're going to market in order to generate income by satisfying what your prospects want.

By focusing on what you have to offer, like you have done, you are left holding a solution with no idea who wants it or how to find your prospects.

I believe your best strategy at this point is to do your niche and market research (there are lots of guides here on the WF about how to do that) and that will tell you where and how you should market.

      The very best to you,

      Steve
