How to sell service without website?

I have a banner design business. The aim of this business is to create web banner for affiliate marketers and business owners.

How would it be possible to market it without a website? It's not that I don't want to create a website, but I want to bootstrap this business by doing some banner designs for my portfolio and at the same time building income.

with forums, fiverr, free blogs,Facebook, etc.

There are lots of ways to get clients without having a website. You could network on forums, put up a LinkedIn profile, talk to people on Twitter, etc. A website makes you look more reputable, but if you're good at networking and are selling a service then you can do a lot without one.

Make a facebook page and use that as your website.

You can also offer business timeline banners and profile logo's if you are a designer. Check out what others are offering there. The home craft businesses buy those as many do not have a website.

Otherwise, fiverr and forums as HilaludinWahid mentioned.

You could try handing around flyers to local businesses - Offer a promotional offer so that they can see your skills at a cut price.

Facebook page and fiverr are better than own website to sell service. You can also sell on forums

For me, Fiverr is the best of all. It helps you to drive traffic to your offer. Put great offer that customer cant resists.

Besides, you can go to elance, odesk, and other sites which offer service.

All is better than your website and facebook fan page because they already help you to drive traffic.

    Hi,

Try and get them onto an email list.

Keep in touch with them, let them know your developments/offers.

Send them customer testimonials/feedback you've had from your customers etc.

At least then, you know who is actually interested in your services if they
have joined your list to get more information about what you have to offer.

You can use the Warriors for hire section too to advertise your services.

You might not need a website, but I highly recommend that you have a list when you start getting your initial customers.

You don't even need to pay for an autoresponder like Aweber, a free one will do for now.

Just make sure to keep track of all your leads. It will help you so much in the future.

Personally I would go sell my services through either Elance or oDesk. Fiverr is also a good option is you only want to work for a fiver at a time initially.

I would really consider to make your own website. It is not that expensive but will bring you in the long run a lot. You also could get a free blog on blogger.com (but again it is always better to be in full control with your own blog). Another way is to sell your service on Forums like here on the Warrior Forum on Freelancer Sites, Fiverr, Craigslist even Ebay.
But make sure to gather your customers email or contact details to follow up with them!

Offer your banner design service as a classified ad on a forum and invite the forum members to purchase the service directly through your forum ad, (rather than going off site to a site or page which gives more details). You can give just as many details about your banner design on the forum thread description as you would on a stand alone site. You might include banner design samples; testimonials and screenshots of sites where your work has appeared. The advantage is how the forum user doesn't have to leave the site to order your service, they would simply send you a private message.

Well, you can design a logo and can use that logo in marketing. It will increase your reputation and visibility in the market.
