I thought I'd share a great niche with you.

Excessive sweating.

This is a niche full of desperate people looking for a solution to their embarrassing sweating problem.

Searches

Have a look at just some of the searches on Google Keyword Planner for sweating keywords.

I like to take these keywords and use them in conjunction with Google Instant.

One of my best converting long tail keywords is: how to stop underarm sweating

There are a ton of long tail keywords. Simply use Google Instant to uncover them. Play around with it and you can find some great easy to rank low competition phrases.

Products.

If you head over to Clickbank you'll find a number of stop sweating products. Sweat Miracle is a good one.

The average commission is $24.50 which is reasonable and their refund rate has never been above 2%. There are a few more but I would avoid any product that has Adsense on its sales page. Not good!

Also avoid any product that has an opt in form on the sales page. I like sales pages with a video presentation. And long copy too - I find sales pages with long copy convert very well.

Promotion methods.

Press releases work very well indeed, as does free organic traffic, video marketing and paid traffic. I would recommend building a list or creating a simple landing page and sending visitors through to the merchant site.

You can make easy sales in this niche.

Great example of thinking outside the box!

Too many 'new' marketers get married to the idea that they have to teach/promote something in the IM vein, when there a hundreds if not thousands of viable niches where they can make money.

    Thanks for this post!

I am only just starting with Clickbank/Affiliate marketing and I'm really struggling to get past the startup phase and to make my first sale.

If anyone can give me a push-start, PM me :-)

Yeah, I wouldn`t sweat on starting on this niche. (get it ? sweat ? ) just because this guy just shared it on a public topic from a public forum with LOTS of users.. so the niche will get saturated within the next weeks.

Niches don't get saturated. That's a myth that seems to get repeated again and again on forums. Keywords can have high competition, but not markets or niches.

It's easy to rank for high converting long tail keywords in this niche.

Did you know the medical term for excessive sweating is hyperhidrosis?

This is just one of many great keywords.

Enter it into Google and by playing around entering different words like "how to", "can I", "ways to" etc. in front of it you can discover real long tail queries.

      EG. "how to" brings up..

how to get rid of hyperhidrosis
      how to prevent hyperhidrosis
      how to treat hyperhidrosis naturally

      and so on.

Then I take things one step further. I take the first phrase
"how to get rid of hyperhidrosis" , enter it into Google and discover even more

how to get rid of hyperhidrosis underarms
how to get rid of hyperhidrosis fast
how to get rid of hyperhidrosis for good

      and so on..

You can build huge high converting long tail keyword lists doing this. Dead easy to rank for too.

Or more likely 99.9% of people will say "oh cool" and then not do anything or make excuses for why this niche isn't for them.

Wow, never would have thought of that one. Amazing how wide the niches can go. The great thing about the internet is that even a tiny niche like this has so many potential customers in it.

Interesting niche. I wonder how it would go building a 'sweating' list and then writing out those emails...LOL

whats being missed in any niche is can you rank for any particular keyword being showed in keyword planner

I did a ranking check for multiple versions of this sweating keyword and it looks to me the competition for those keywords have some pretty big hitters competing for page one in Google if you are using organic search for traffic

Not that you can't rank but when chasing any niche this is a consideration that must be considered

looking at search counts in my opinion is a waste of time

sure it gets lots of searches but your competition has the same available data visible available

    Here is what I mean

I just checked "how to stop underarm sweating"

with my checker to see what my competition would be

    look at the right column
    0 is easy
    100 is the hardest

I even have it color coded from the metrics I now use for checking if I can rank

Red not easy heavy hitters on page one
Yellow can rank with right SEO
    Green easy to rank

Many of my sales come from Yahoo Answers so you don't need to rely on organic traffic. The best way of getting organic Google traffic is through press releases and optimizing for long tails. My first ever press release I posted made 10 Clickbank sales.
